We had a very disappointing experience at the Roseville Olive Garden. We got seated in a very full part of the restaurant, which was very loud. Being 2 couples on a double date, it was not the type of atmosphere we were expecting. So we requested to be moved to a quieter section of the restaurant which was totally open and even though there was 2 party’s with children it was very pleasant. Our waitress was very pleasant, but inexperienced. She was very nervous and it felt like was rushing us. She asked us for our order, and we didn’t even have menus. We had to ask her to take our drink order. She never gave us a sample of the signature wine to taste. When she brought us our sampler platter for our appetizer, she did not have any plates for us. She went on to serve her other tables, then she brought out our plates. Next came our salad, it was delicious as ever. Next came our entree’s. Mine was not hot and had kind of a chalky taste to it. Mine was the braised beef medallions with fettuccine Alfredo. When she brought out our meals she brought out fettuccine Alfredo for my roommate, he had ordered the unlimited lasagne. She apologized and said it would take about 10 minutes for him to get his food. The rest of use proceeded to eat, and he waited and waited. The manager came to the table and apologized, and said she would “take care of the lasagna”. He finally received his food, the waitress was packing up our leftovers. She brought our bill and she started to run our credit card, we double checked our itemized bill, realizing she charged us for the unlimited lasagne pasta, we stopped her. She went and checked with the manager and they did comp the lasagne. We also had to ask for salt and pepper shakers for our table at least two times. Overall this double date was not a smooth experience. The Roseville location was not that busy, due to the fact we had a snow...

Myself and two others dined here tonight. My wife left her clutch under the table by her feet. We realized the mistake within 5 minutes of leaving and called immediately. They already had found the clutch. When we got there(15mins later) it had been rifled through, a credit card, and $300 were missing, and no one new was seated in the entire section we had been in.
We asked to speak with a manager and asked questions like who had handled the clutch/where had it been returned to/from. She seemed to be extremely defensive and zero percent interested in either helping us or showing any empathy at all. She insisted that simultaneously she 'knew no one who worked there would ever steal'', that there were no cameras anywhere on premises, and that the clutch had been taken directly to host stand/her upon its 'discovery'. She said she wouldn't even ask the employees 'involved', nor did she offer even any kind of condolences for us being robbed while patronizing the establishment she represents.
As soon as this 'manager' left, the host stand girl called her out. She says that there are indeed cameras, and that two servers had had the clutch in the kitchen with them before they brought it to the manager.
Needless to say we have filed a police report and would like any potential customer to consider the following:
What's more likely? That this manager is right and can speak with authority about what did and didn't happen without so much as having even asked her employees any questions AND that Olive Garden (a huge corporate entity with international representation) has zero surveillance to protect their own liability and also customer safety????
.... OR...that at least when it comes the the Roseville location, "When you're here, you betta not leave anything unattended, cause we ain't yo' family''! is the...
Read moreFood was good. The service ranged from excellent to insulting all within the same dining experience. The two waiters we had were friendly, and the man was very intentive, almost intuitive! 👍🏽 However, the manager on duty took things too far.
When deciding where to dine to celebrate my birthday and host a party of 16, I assumed this location was central for my family who travel from all four corners of the Twin Cities. The staff seated us on time, however the first problem arose when our waitress could not accommodate my grandmother who has a dairy sensitivity, so she resorted to the next best option, which happened to be an appetizer. The waitress quickly informed my grandmother that she would have to pay for her salad because she was ordering an appetizer. I insisted that the waitress give my grandma a salad, and stated that if she have any problems with her manager just tell her that it's a birthday party of 16. The manager, ignoring all forms of customer service that exists, stomped out minutes later to inform my grandma that salads typically do not come with an appetizer. I solved that quickly, but that event did not set the atmosphere of a welcoming dining experience for my family. Also, what establishment does not offer a birthday dessert? Every other Olive Garden or restaurant does, and so that's where we will be doing business for all future birthdays.. And all of my husband and my dinning experiences, as we live and work nearby. I didn't mention that when the waiters (there were two) got their tips, they left for the evening and no one touched our plates, cups or wiped the table. This place is one to avoid if you want respectful, tasteful, just good old fashion...
