This place is so cute— I love the layout. Every time I come here for a late lunch, it's never busy. The service is usually pretty good. All the staff are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. My bartender/server, Ashley, was wonderful. She answered all my questions, gave me great recommendations, and told me about the rewards program (which I definitely took advantage of on my birthday).
The cocktails were perfect; I got the Hard Peach Lemonade and the Italian Smash. For an appetizer, I got Tomatina's Housemade Garlic Rolls. They were good, but I wish the marina wasn't so thin. Even though the rolls come with olive oil, I wish they were buttery, too. For my entrée, I chose pasta (spaghetti) and sauce (marinara). The marinara was thin, and the pasta was underwhelming, unfortunately. There just wasn't that much flavor/seasoning. I had to add a lot of salt and parmesan. They didn't have an option for bolognese (meat) sauce, but they did have meatballs if that's more of your thing. (They do have baked penne bolognese on the menu, though.) I decided to try dessert and got the Pumpkin Cheesecake with cranberry sauce. Wow! If you're like me and aren't a fan of strong pumpkin flavor, this is perfect for you. If you like cherry topping on your cheesecake, you'll like the cranberries.
Overall, I really liked the place, but I'll definitely try a different entrée next time. I can't wait to come back to try more food and cocktails!
Update: I came back to try their pizza and apple crisp— both were delicious! I also tried a couple of different cocktails and they did...
Read moreIt’s pretty apparent that the people hired to work here have not received any proper training for their respective positions.
The cooks managed to overcook and overload every single item with too much oil. The servers are polite but forgetful and needed reminders on items we needed like refills on drinks and to-go boxes.
Calamari was incredibly over cooked and therefore so rubbery your teeth wouldn’t even cut through it. I could tell it was the second it touched the table because the tubes were all completely curled. Bad start.
I ordered the pasta and sauce, which was $19! The portion was surprisingly small for that price. If all I’m getting is bland pasta and under seasoned sauce it seems absurd to charge this much. The pesto was labeled as creamy pesto but not sure where they got the creamy part from. Maybe it used to be before it was over cooked and separated in the pan.
Got a side of spinach and again, that poor spinach was treated like it owed the cook child support or something. A big steaming blob on the plate. Also no seasoning? Not even salt? Ok.
Finished off strong with affogato. Which was supposed to come with whipped cream and chocolate shavings - had none of that. Espresso was poured on the gelato at the bar and clearly sat there so by the time it hit our table the gelato was mostly melted and the espresso was cold. Womp womp.
Good luck guys. I’ll save my money and stick with Olive Garden for this...
Read moreWent there on a Saturday evening with my daughter. The place looked closed. Only a couple of customers there, and chairs on top of the tables. The servers don't take your orders, it's all done on your phone after scanning QR code on the table. Not an uncommon practice in the Covid Era. Every item your order has the choice of appetizer, entree, or dessert. That way they'll know the order you want your food delivered. We ordered our food as entrées, and I ordered a pizza to bring home for my wife as a dessert. I had the intention to tell them to bring the pizza in a to-go box when our dinners arrived. Lo and behold, the pizza was the first thing that showed up. So now it sat around and got cold before we could even finish eating. I had the lasagna, which was slightly overcooked, and very light on cheese. Average size portion, sitting in a sea of sauce, to give the appearance that it is more than it was. My daughter had spaghetti, which she really liked. Once we got our food, we were pretty much abandoned by our server. We were never checked on. Our drinks were never refilled, and it seemed like an eternity waiting for someone to check on us after we finished eating, so that we could request our pizza be brought back, so that we could leave. My first,...
