We stopped in to try to size my son for his school uniforms because he’s very thin for his age and he’s in the process of growing and because I’ve had a nothing but problems and aggravation ordering non uniform stuff from the Land’s End website. As we walked around the store it wasn’t entirely clear to us where the uniform components were and we were more or less ignored by the store staff when we walked in. The mens section was a tiny nook in the back of the store and there weren’t any pants smaller than a 32 inch waist. We went back to the fitting room and while we were trying pants on him, we came across the uniform samples. That was helpful but what was no helpful that that they were unhemmed so while we could find the waist size we needed, we had no idea what inseam we needed and the woman who was in the fitting room rehanging clothing, tossed us a tape measure and told us how to measure an inseam rather than assist us. Needless to say, we went home to order pants, and when we received them, they were huge….no only were they too long but the pant legs were extremely wide. So I go back to the website and I order the boy’s pants because they carry a slim in boy’s sizes. I received them today and now the waist is too tight and the inseam is too short. I ordered three more pairs and hopefully they fit but I have stack of pants that I need to return. This all could have been avoided had we had some help at the store and had there been a wider selection of...
Read moreThis was my first purchase with Lands End and I ordered a XX tall cashmere sweater for my brothers 60th birthday. The sweater arrived on time but the quality and sizing are way off. Number one, the material is not good quality nor is the cut. The body of the sweater is easily 4 or 5 inches too long and the sleeves are 2 or 3 inches short. I’m 6’8” 250 and I’ve never seen anything like this. I called the Lands End 800 number and the customer service girl was very pleasant, she gave me my return options and asked if I would like to speak with a supervisor. I was transferred to a supervisor named Jim. I thought I was disappointed with the product. Other than offering a return Jim had nothing new to add, why did I hold for this? Overall this has been an incredibly disappointing venture. Buyer beware,...
Read moreMy mother is a LOYAL Land’s End customer. She’s 86 years old and tried to return a $40 pair of pants. She doesn’t know QR codes and she tried going to return them at UPS and they said no because she didn’t have the QR code. Understandable, but I called customer service and they said they would rather lose her business than issue a $40 credit. She has an ACTIVE order with them now. Geez Lands End cut the 86 year old loyal customer who’s never returned anything to you a break. Even Amazon is like “no problem, I’m happy to help”. You lost her business and mine. I’m literally wearing lands end pants now. I’ll never reorder. BAD...
