I shop pretty frequently at the Macy's jewelry dept in Southlake Mall in Merrillville In. On my trip today I made a comment that Jcpenneys had a very similar piece of Effy jewelry at a cheaper price.... the sales associate told me 1 Jcpenneys doesn't sell Effy.... um that's not true 2 Jcpenneys doesn't sell real diamonds... um yes they do I bought my wedding set there and Jcpenneys was closing.... I don't believe that. Really turned me off to shopping at Macys. I'm a loyal shopper at both stores and never had Jcpenney employees " bad mouth" Macy's. The experience really left a foul taste in my mouth and I just have to wonder if the store manager knows? I asked to speak the Manager , because I wanted the stone's tested in the piece I was interested in. None were available. I understand the retail business is pretty cutthroat since Covid... but these employees were either truly ignorant or straight up lying. My whole perception to Macy's was destroyed by this...

Read moreThe mess I'm going right now with this retail giant is unbelievable. They delivered the wrong items from online purchase. I sent back the incorrect items. Subsequently, I was told I had to return all the items and re-purchased the order. I still haven't gotten all my money refunded from the original purchase. If you call, expect at least two hours in the phone being transferred around. There is no customer service you can go into the store and talk to, I tried. That leads me to the only bright spot in this whole mess, Barbara Mukes. An associate at the Southlake mall store. She spent at least two hours with me on the phone trying to help resolve this matter. It didn't get done, but she went above and far exceeded any reasonable expectations!
I'm still fighting they just can't take people's money.
Please be very careful when placing online...
