We used to go to Sprint Store in Mt. Nebo & they’ve been great but unfortunately the store closed so we are forced to go to the McKnight store. We’ve only gone there twice but no visit was a success at all.
Our 1st visit was about purchasing a phone that is not current so at least we can our bill wouldn’t be too high getting a newer phone. I used to pay only $105 for years until recently noticed that my bill is $144+ with only 1 phone being leased. I’m on automatic payment so never realized how much I was paying monthly. But the store can’t offer us an older model. So we ended up buying it from Apple. The phone we got at least is to own.
2nd time we went to this store, the staff had very huge smiles when we entered the store. As soon as I explained to them that we bought a new phone from Apple & that the sim that Apple used to the new phone just needs to be activated by Sprint, the lady’s smile faded right away & started to treat us with attitude. She told us, they cannot activate our new phone and that they don’t have a sim for our new phone. She told us that we have to go to BestBuy to get a new sim! Why would I spend money for a another sim if the sim just needed to be activated?! And we remained Sprint customers, so Sprint should be able to do something for us for the new phone to be working... So we went back to Apple & they never stopped assisting us until the phone worked, took us hours there. I requested an Apple agent to talk to the Sprint agent but they are not allowed to talk to each other per policy so we had to call back Sprint store & the lady told us in quote, “Why did you go back to Apple?! I sent you to Best Buy, it’s just a block away?!” Is that a right thing to say or do by a Sprint agent to their...
Read moreYears ago I switched to Sprint in this store bringing my own unlocked, paid-in-full phone. When I tried to quit after 2 months I was told my phone was now locked to Sprint and I could never use another carrier. The manager at the store basically told me my phone was never unlocked (despite the fact that I bought it unlocked, paid in full, and used it on Verizon before) and I had to have sprint for 6 months in order to unlock it again. They basically held me hostage to stay on Sprint. I had to file an FTC complaint for them to unlock my phone again.
I went to this store recently to get a sim card for an online- only deal, and I was hoping they'd gotten better.
Nope.
The manager refused to give me a sim card so that I could activate a plan I had already applied for online. He said it was "store policy" and that I had to sign up for a much more expensive plan in his store if I wanted a $3 sim card.
Except I called two other Sprint stores and a Best Buy and they had no such policy. I had to drive 45mins to the next sprint store to buy a $3 sim card, just because this specific manager decided not to let people buy a sim card unless they activate it at his specific store. Idk if he gets a kickback every time someone signs up for a plan in his store, but I've used 5 different cellphone carriers and I've never had this problem.
Avoid this store. Other Sprint stores will help you save money, but I wouldn't trust this manager. Go to the one...
Read moreWent in a week ago and added my 8th line to sprint (I pay close to $6,000 a year and have been with them for almost 5 years) was told the current deal was $10 a month for the S9+. I also did an alternate upgrade taking a upgrade from one phone to another was told it was $5 a month for the S9 was asked if I wanted insurance on the line I declined. Leave with the new phone something told me in the back of my mind to login to sprint and see the agreements. low to be hold the upgraded line was actually $33 a month and the salesperson put insurance on the line even tho I said no when asked. I returned the next morning and returned the phone. Went in today to do an alternate upgrade so I could get my daughter a new phone for Christmas and was told by the same salesman Jon and the manager that they do not do "alternate upgrades" even tho they did it less then 7 days ago. and I've done alternate upgrades at this location multiple times with no problem. I left got in my car went to best buy and did it there I got the S9 $300 cheaper then at this sprint location and got a $100 gift card and a free $130 dual Samsung wireless charger. I work in sales for a living and these are not the tactics you use to earn business especially with a customer who always pays their bill on time and has 8 lines with you. I'm very very disappointed I will not be back to this...
