If you're in dire need of a certain prescription, DO NOT get it sent here
I've tried to pick up from this pharmacy about 10 times in the past year, as i pass it going to/from work. Today is the last time I'll be visiting. Prescriptions are NEVER ready for pick up, even after giving them 24-48 hours from when its called in. If its not in their system, they blame your doctor. I've also gotten "oh we haven't checked the answering machine yet" so they dont answer the phone, regardless if they're in a slow period with 12+ employees behind the counter. Not gonna stand there and be told BOTH my doctor and my dentist are unable to properly call in prescriptions, especially given that I get conformation text that said prescription is approved for refill at their location. (which they do not care about)
Greensburgh Walmart has never given me this issue with either my doctor or dentist, which is why I know its this pharmacy specifically with the issue.
Bottom line if you need an important prescription, avoid this location...
Read moreI visited the store a few minutes before closingâunintentionally, as I wasnât aware of the exact closing time. I quickly used the restroom and began looking for CPAP supplies. An associate asked if I needed help, and I mentioned I was searching for CPAP items. She told me they no longer carry them. When I asked how I could find out which CVS locations still do, she simply replied that she didnât know.
I then inquired about green rubbing alcohol, and she pointed me in the right direction. However, when I got to the register, I realized I had left my wallet in the car. Throughout the entire interaction, I felt like the staff had an attitudeâsighing, huffing, and acting as though I was an inconvenience for asking questions or delaying checkout by a minute or two.
I understand that closing time is important, but I believe basic courtesy and professionalism should still apply. The overall experience was unpleasant and left me feeling rushed...
Read moreEverything in the store is over priced and it's mostly junk food. So, yeah, get your ice cream and soda when you pick up your diabetes medication! Ugh! Also, the pharmacy is a hot mess. I would wait in line and they wouldn't have the script ready or it would be wrong or they couldn't get the insurance right. I think the staff is either inept or just overworked. They always seem so frazzled. Also, if you need specialty meds, then CVS is useless. They can't compound so you'll have to find someone else. In the Belle Vernon area I highly recommend Dierken's Pharmacy in Monongahela. It's worth driving the 10 minutes or so because the staff there is great and always makes sure to get it right while being friendly and helpful. CVS never has anything in stock, either. And when they do have what I need, it's way more. Rite Aid is...
