This is a very interesting store, very inexpensive compared to other local shops. They have an indoor playground and the photo op section you can pay for. We got a voucher on Yelp which is $10 for a $20 credit. The girl at the front was also very polite. It appears they used to sell food in the back of the store or perhaps during their peak times. It is a very old establishment with way more potential if they just cleaned and dusted the place? Especially the playground, just get a ladder and a rag. There is a black light lit area towards the end of the photo op section and they also need to buy more black lights and just make it easier to see in there...I was disappointed I couldn’t see all of the details of whoever put this exhibit together. I realize this place is old and people will walk in no matter, but it could definitely be cleaned up.

This place has so much potential but they seem to lack a creative director. It looks like some places they started to draw something and they fully gave up. So around the ceiling there is a bunch of drawings that are uncompleted and that just gives the space a weird unfinished vibe. The place just really needs a good cleaning up. It’s really dusty the floors are dirty. The figures are all covered in filth and some of the foam on the creatures are poking out. Aside from that the space is super affordable their prices on stuff isn’t too crazy. You have to pay $3 admissions fee if you want to check out the exhibits with aliens and space creatures. I strongly suggest they replace the black lights in the last room because it is very faded. You can’t really see any of the utopia clearly because it’s just a dark room with a small black light.

If you're already in Roswell doing the "alien" thing and you like taking silly pics, you HAVE to stop by Alien Zone! There's a ton (more than pictured) of sets where you can take goofy pictures with aliens, etc. I read comments where people said it was "dusty", but I didn't really notice it. But I guess I wasn't trying to live in there. Also, people seem to be confused as to where the entrance is. On their front doors, the right one says "please use other door", which means the left one. I think some people are interpreting that as the door to the business on the left (an antiques store). It's pretty cheap and well worth the money, if you're not a grouch.

We came into Roswell expecting more alieness and most of the gift shops was just meh, however this gift shop is special! It might not have cool items like the museum down the street for sale BUT it makes up with decorations! So past with the few shelves of alien merchandise, has displays of aliens to the left. To the right is a play place for young kids and they mean YOUNG kids.No kids over 12 people. Then you go the back of the room that looks like a space cafeteria with a couple aliens hanging out on the booths. These are all good places for a photo shoot.

Now for the real reason this places stands out in front of everyone else on the street. They have this cool area called Area 51. It's $3 per person but so worth the price! In the middle of the playground and the cafeteria , there is a door to the right. Now in here they have about 10-15 different areas where you can take pictures at and with aliens! There is an upside down room, a space ship, science lab, Backyard BBQ, an outhouse, inside the space ship, pay phone in the alley, motorcycle, area 51 wall, alien space bar, experimental testing, alien city in black light and more!

We spent about 3 hours here and could have done more taking pictures. But this really made the visit to Roswell worth it as everything else was just a big meh. So if you come down here, this will be the...

It's just as cheesy as you expect.

Spoiler alert; there are no aliens here. But if you're in the Roswell area and walking down the alien tourist trap section of Roswell, you're going here anyway. It's simply best to set expectations in case you were expecting something, extraordinary.

This is mostly a place to see some cheap looking alien exhibits and grab some souvenirs. Nothing more, nothing less. I'm not going to hit this place too hard for that. It technically delivers exactly what one would expect. But let's not sugar coat it.

Regardless of reviews, you're going to visit anyways. After all, why else did you go to Roswell?

EDIT, RESPONSE TO OWNER REPLY:

This wasn't meant to be a negative review. Simply factual observations based on first hand experience. No need to take it personal. As you stated, this is what you were going for. You can't expect a 5 star review for being popular and doing this for...
