Went in today for a mommy and daughter shopping date since the whole pandemic started. My daughter has saved up all her allowance and birthday money to pick out some new cute clothes, which she was ready to pay for in cash. When we got to the checkout the manager refused my daughter service stating that she was "only a child" and could not use a $10 off $25 coupon simply because I used one for my purchase. My daughter had only brought enough cash to pay for around $15 so this coupon was important to her and her math lesson. Its the same coupon that anyone can use regardless of age, regardless of account status, ANYONE can go online and use or print this coupon. This manager told me that my daughter was "only a child and doesnt qualify as a customer". The manager was laughing, smug, and rude the entire time even while my daughter is crying and I am kindly asking her to explain why shes denied service because of her age since it doesnt say that on the coupon. The manager had no empathy for her actions. Upon calling the corporate office, they agreed that anyone can use the coupon and that a child (yes even an 8 year old) is considered a customer who can use coupons. What I mean is that we return our items to Kohl's they give us a coupon and then we shop. So if I'm not spending it at Amazon I'm spending it at Kohl's.
A lot of their dresses are on clearance, I did find 2 beautiful dresses and others that I will have to return.
I didn't mention the customer service is different in 2 areas of the store.
There was a lovely lady who greeted me with a hello and a big genuine smile. Older black lady with with short hair, she made me want to buy jewelry I didn't even need just because she was so friendly.
I interacted with someone who organized dresses and she was so friendly and helpful I seen 2 different cashiers one was extremely nicextremely nice wanted to be of service the other 1 seemed dry dry although she said hello she wasn't very interactive with me.
Then there was the Amazon people up front returning, I don't think they liked their job very much. Older white guy seems a little snippy and rude at times that's just my observation while I was there waiting in line.
OK if you haven't been to Kohl's go try it out, we can return our Amazon purchases...
   Read moreSuper rude staff! I ordered a pair of Nikes online through the Kohlâs website to be picked up in store the same day. I received an email saying they were ready for pick up so I went to get them. They literally gave me the wrong pair of shoes and tried to convince me they were right and I was wrong. I even showed them a picture of what I ordered and they still did not want to help me. I drove 30 minutes out of way to come to this location because I was told in my confirmation email they had my correct shoe and size in stock and I even paid for them through the website!
The staff did not have an explaination for me or even offer me another option or even just tell me sorry. I had to walk over to the shoe department and pick out the correct shoes myself which of course they didnât have my size I ordered (which is probably why they gave me the wrong ones.)
This was just unacceptable and I wouldnât have minded the situation but please just cancel my order instead of telling me my order is ready and then trying to give me similar shoes which were not what I ordered. The staff was so rude and unaccomadating! Now I have to drive another 30 minutes out of my way to get the...
