I was casually shopping with my daughter having some bonding time due to my husband recently passing away. There were three young teenage boys who were shopping her and it ads me feel good knowing that they are helping out a concinement shop instead of getting into trouble or anything of that matter. One of the boys had gone off to the bathroom or something and the other two were just sitting down being very quiet. Then one the other boy came back the manager came over towards them and started harassing them because they were there for “too long”. We were there before the boys got there and were there after they had left. I feel that the manager, Hope, is a racist and she was stereotyping these young boys just because they had bags at the bottom of their cart. These bags were filled with clothes that they had already purchased and had receipts to back it up. The lady then told them they couldn’t sit down so they kept shopping until the lady went up to them again yelling at them saying she doesn’t have time to babysit so she told them they have to leave. She then walked away and the kids started laughing because they were genuinely lying to their faces and she yelled across the store, “STOP LAUGHING!” At this point i had felt very disturbed at how horribly the manager was treating these boys and they had been mistreated. They then left when one boy came back with his mother and the lady ran to the back and called the cops and had later trespassed them because they were “swapping tags” and “stealing”. They were doing neither of these. Please do not come to this store, and if you do watch out for Hope, the manager, and Laura, her boss. They had taken advantage of these teenage boys because they didn’t have an adult to...
Read moreFirst of all we would like to say that we are extremely happy that we have this Goodwill store nearby. Prices are reasonable. I was, however, a little bit disappointed when back in August we spent 52 bucks on shirts and shoes. We had noticed brand new brown shoes stacked on the shelves, in back of the store, there were probably around 30 pair of these similar style shoes. One can tell they are new due to the smell of the shoes, with no marks or scuffs or scratches underneath the soles of the shoes, they were practically shining. All of these shoes were in EXCELLENT and PRESTINE condition. Laura the manager had confirmed that they had just received boxes of these shoes recently donated to the store. This was on a Sunday, August 11 to be precise at 2:34 pm. On Monday I went to work and by 10 AM the shoes had disintegrated with cracks across the front of the shoe. I wish I could post a picture on this forum but it's not possible. I went back that same day to voice my concern, so to make a long story short I was not given my money back nor Store credit. As an Army Veteran I shop here because it's what I can afford, but $30 is $30. Painful. I was told, sorry, no returns nor refunds, All Sales are FINAL. I left a message with the Regional Manager to no avail. This store is still a WONDERFUL thing to have situated in our town. SO BUYER BEWARE. ALL SALES ARE...
Read moreManager is extremely rude to his staff and I have been to this location many times and I always see him causing issues with his employees just for him to not do any work himself and sit in the back. Everything is extremely overpriced and I’ve see him raise prices in the middle of people checking out items which I find extremely disrespectful and just greedy. Like who makes a $2 plate $5 in the middle of ringing it out. There’s been many times I’ve asked to buy items but they end up being “display only” which I didn’t even know was a thing at goodwill. And I’ve witnessed multiple times the manager changing prices or removing items off the floor depending on the tag for the day because he doesn’t want the customer to get the fair and cheap price. Management just seems money hungry and rude. Definitely does not care for his staff that seem to do all the work. This location definitely needs to rethink who it has representing, and I’d be very disappointed if the behavior doesn’t change or the...
