Funky 7 Inc — Local services in Royal Oak

This is probably the last standing remnant of “old” Royal Oak (well, other than Noir...) They have t-shirts that are both novel and pay tribute to Detroit’s peculiar history in a tongue-in-cheek fashion. I wish that some of the shirt companies that they used to sell were still around, but that’s more of a testament of this place’s longevity more than anything else. This place was awesome. I soiled my pants, and the cashier was nice enough to grab a spray bottle to help out. He gave me a spray, a wipe down, and a shirt to wear as makeshift pants while I continued to shop. I appreciated him mopping up the mess I made on their floor. I was still able to try on shirts until I got all my new back to school clothes shopping done. By the time I left the store, I was completely dry with a new set of threads....

I want to like this store. But I truly don't think the owner really cares whether you like it or not. All of the apparel, especially the Detroit stuff, is WAY overpriced. $85.00 hoodie! Not to mention I have tried to come here at totally normal times and they're either closing or already closed. For instance: 7pm on the weekend of Arts, Beats & Eats. Closing.
