I've been to Noir on 3 different occasions. The first time during the Arts, Eats and Beats, second time while shopping downtown and just recently last Sunday. My experience the first two times were great, staff was friendly and helpful. Last Sunday is woman in the store was stand-offish and completely rude. She was more interested in her phone then assisting us. I was looking for a product and she barely looked at me while on her phone to answer me. I walked around the store and she never came to ask us if we needed assistance. She didn't even acknowledge us when we came in or when we left. The guy watching the cameras was not helpful either. I just don't understand why people get into customer service if they don't want to interact with the customers. So I went from raving about the place to telling my friends don't frequent Noir because the customer service is not the best. It really only takes one bad experience for someone to not want to return. I was looking to spend more money but the lack of assistance or acknowledgement was a...
Read moreCame in this past November looking for a vibrating toy for a woman, the girl behind the counter asked if she could help, we said sure, she directed us to a toy which we bought. Got it home the looked up the manufacturer of the toy only to realize that it is designed as a vibrating plug for men.
Called the store only to be told no exchanges even if an employee is at fault, then told them I would come back to the store to discuss it further. They said sure we'll be here all week only for them to be closed the next day (Tuesday) and told to come back to speak to the woman who sold me the toy. I come back on Wednesday to find that she is still not there but another employee invited me to purchase anything I want at a 20% discount.
I do not appreciate being misled about your products to only further be misled about return policies. They waste your time and money and act like you are the problem when you speak up. Noir leather used to be a great place with great people but the era has passed and other leather shops will...
Read moreI love visiting this shop when I'm in the D! This store is small but has many unique and often locally crafted items to choose from. I have bought a few pieces of clothing from here and have never been disappointed. Be prepared to pay a little more for the quality, this is not a store filled with cheap Chinese goods, but I appreciate that. My one complaint (more of a suggestion really) is a good portion of the store is dedicated to "adult novelty items", I think that space could be better served giving room to more unique clothing and accessories for those of us into alternative lifestyles. There are plenty of other stores to buy "bedroom gadgets". I shop here for to stuff you can't find in other stores. I took off one star for this just to draw attention to my review, but this store deserves all 5. The clerks here are very friendly, helpful and non judgemental. Be prepared to spend at least an hour here. Can't wait to come back and check out their selection the next time I'm in the...
