I wish I could give ZERO stars for this sorry excuse for a high end jewelry store! It belongs in the slums of Detroit NOT the heart of Royal Oak! My wife and I called ahead to make sure they had a specific watch in stock. After reading the model number we were told they did in fact have it. We drove an hour and a half to get there to be handed a COMPLETELY different watch! The one I wanted was two tone stainless and yellow gold. I was handed a two tone stainless and rose gold. I was then told that “sometimes rose can look yellow on line” when I showed her the picture from THIER website with model number she changed her attitude and agreed with me it should be yellow! Since we drove all that way I decided to take a look at some other models and finally settled on one. After paying for it we were given 92 cents back in PENNIES and told sorry they had no other change!!! It get worse though! I asked the worker to remove one and a half links from the band. After hearing her BANGING on the watch for nearly 15 minutes( NOT EXAGGERATING ONE BIT) she came out of the back saying she didn’t have the correct tool and asked if we would come back tomorrow! Needless to say my wife and I were already extremely disappointed with our experience and just wanted to get out of there! I politely asked for a new watch because I was afraid the internals of this one might have gotten damaged from her excessive beating on it. I was then told it just happened to be the last one in stock! I honestly don’t believe that for one second but I wanted out of here. I took the watch to my normal jeweler who took two minutes to remove the links and then inspected my watch for any damage. Thankfully all was well with it. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANYONE EVEN CONSIDERING this place to look somewhere else! It is not worth it and the women they have working the counters are not one bit knowledgeable on the products they sell! It was a horrible experience and I will be ordering my next watch directly from the manufacturer and will happily wait weeks for it to be shipped than to deal with any one from this sorry excuse of a...
Read moreMy experience here wasn’t good. I purchased a band for my fiancé. We created the ring on the jewelry website called Lashbrook. When I went to the store to purchase the ring the young lady and I created the ring again for it to be sent to Metals In Time for me to pick it up when it was ready. My fiancé and I had already done research and knew what we wanted so I purchased the ring right then and there. I had my money right in front of me on the counter. The young lady with the blond hair picked it up without my permission or me giving it to her. Red flag. Don’t grab my money! Let me hand it to you. I didn’t say anything to her she just doesn’t know any better. That’s how I took it. Furthermore, I looked at a few more rings that I liked for my band. Then I left. I get a call two weeks later saying the ring I had purchased is ready. I was excited. I went straight there to get the ring. I got it looked at it briefly then got to my car and inspected it for about 20 minutes just looking at all the damage and in disbelief that they even let anything like this come out of their store. So I took the ring back inside and told them that this ring looks worn and beat up. They saw the damage and sent the ring back. A lady called me and said the new ring is ready and I picked it up and it was much better. But she told me over the phone I had a balance, but that was inaccurate because the ring was paid for in full! So this is telling me that they are not thorough with handling their business whatsoever. So I got the new ring in the same old crunchy bag that I picked up the new ring in. The old ring had a silicone band in it, the new ring didn’t so I had to ask for that. I’m thinking what happened to it, why is it not together? They’re very unorganized. When I picked the new ring up, they couldn’t even find it. They had the bag, but no ring. They eventually found it, but the whole experience was unfair to me and just overall sloppy! The young lady with the blond hair asked me have a made a decision on getting my band. Yes, I have, and I’m not purchasing it here! I would not...
Read moreToday I had quite an incredible experience. While my glasses were being fixed I walked over to Metals In Time with questions regarding an engagement ring. I was politely greeted by a smiling Ms. Katarina who was extremely friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. I asked her how to tell what type of gold a ring was made of since I did not see any engravings on the inside of the band, which thanks to her I know know is termed as a hallmark. Not only did she stop what she was doing to look herself right then and there, she allowed me to look through the magnifier and showed me exactly where the hallmark was located on the band. After thanking her I began to walk away and she stops me and asked if I would like my ring cleaned. I expressed to her that I did not bring my wallet in with me and she stated “no no, that’s ok, I will clean it for you”. That was very unexpected and extremely kind of her as well as immensely appreciated. She asked the owner Mr. Sergio to double check the stone on her own and he also was extremely kind. He greeted me directly, informed me that this is generally a service that they charge for, yet he walked away with my ring. He performed the professional tests on the stone and walked it back to me. I again offered to go get my wallet to pay for both his and Katarina's time and services. Mr. Sergio said "no need, you're all set". WOW! Thank you Ms. Katarina and Mr. Sergio for your above and beyond kindness and professionalism. Especially, for my being a random person walking in with a question about personal ring that was not purchased at this establishment. Thank you! I will definitely be a purchasing customer in the near future and one...
