Great Lakes Ace — Local services in Royal Oak

Always a good experience here. I’d highly recommend you consider this Ace for your next grill or smoker purchase. We bought a $900 Masterbuilt Gravity Series grill/smoker and it was assembled flawlessly for us and delivered to our house for no charge. That is a big ticket item that I’ve used now for 18 months without issue. If the assembly was poor I could imagine pulling my hair out in frustration but nope, they did a fantastic job.

I also Stock up on my smoking supplies like wood and charcoal as well. Just a great place for small items you might need.

Update - Their grill section had shrunk to make way for …. Clothes?!? Who goes to Ace for clothes. My most recent visit they didn’t even have lump charcoal anymore.

Shift leader Darlene refused to honor The Ace Promise that applies to Ace branded merchandise. I bought their top of the line oscillating sprinkler, and it broke the first time I changed hoses. I barely used this product, and it was not misused at all. It was past 90 days so she stood her ground citing the return policy. This is not a return or exchange, it is a defective product with ACE stamped on it. That means it falls under The Ace Promise which states,"If this product, when used for its intended purposes, fails to give you complete satisfaction, return the item to the Ace Hardware store where purchased for free replacement of the same or similar item." I would not have bought an Ace sprinkler if it wasn't for that promise. I even bought the higher quality metal sprinkler so it would last. I used to go to Tony's however employee's couldn't be bothered, laying all over the counter, just rude- however a just a little west if there is Great Lakes! For the most part customer service is Above the Rest! Always a greeting! Never I have someone I need to return something or if something is priced incorrectly it's never a problem!
