If I could rate a negative I would. I use the Pratt Abbott in Kennebunk regularly. Love the women who work there. I own a cleaning business where I have many rental units in Kennebunk, kport, as well as Gooserocks Beach, and I do the linens for all my rental properties so I am at the laundromat on a regular basis. I used the one in Saco due to I was closer to location that day. I've tried this place a few times and each time there is an issue. Either the monitors on the walls are down meaning you can't start laundry or the staff is rude. Today I had issues with both. I asked for change at first the older woman behind desk said read the sign in front of the register. I hadn't seen it, which stated they couldn't accept bills larger than $20, I had no issue with that policy but she could have just said sorry I can't make change for anything larger than a $20. I had $14 besides the $100 bill so I said okay I'll start the few washers I need with that then I'll get my bank card from car for dryers. I started the 1 large washer with a $10 bill received $3.50 in quarters back. I went to the small washers loaded 2 went to pay and a nice gentleman allowed me to go in front of him. Didn't realize how thankful I would be for that. I went thru machine starting machine 52 and 53 put in the rest of cash which was $6.50 walked back to machines to make sure they started and they didn't. I then went to desk and told woman what happened and she accused me of lying stating machine states it was last used at 730 this am. The guy who let me go before him was leaving so I quickly turned to him and said you watched me put mobey in the machine correct? He stated yes. She then said well I'll start it this once but next time call me over when that happens cause I have to go by what machines tell me. I then explained I did call you right over and she said no when your using the monitor to start them. Then she walked over to start with her phone and switched one of my loads from hot to cold wash and said there next time I'm going by what machine says. Like seriously am I gonna lie about $6.50????? I just walked out to get air because I've never seen such a lack of customer service. Not coming back to this location will only use Kennebunk or booms...
Read moreI brought 2 winter jackets in to the Biddeford location in September with an October 7 pick up date. When the date came, I couldn't pick up my stuff as the store is CLOSED 3days a week. On the 11th, I went to the Biddeford location to pick up my dry cleaning, only to find a sign on the door stating closed until further notice. If you have items to pick up, please call the Scarborough location. I did. Got an answering machine 2 times. My partner called the Saco store. A woman answered and she agreed to come to the Biddeford office once she is out of work, and get them for me. She asked for my cell number, in case she's running a little late. I gave her my number. So I got to the Biddeford location 15 minutes early, with my 2 grand daughters and my dog. After being there an hour, plus the 15 minutes I was early, I had gotten there early, I called my partner to tell him, not only did she not come to the Biddeford location, she didn't call either. He called the Saco store again. She WAS STILL THERE. She told my partner she was waiting on a ride and would be there in 20-30 minutes. She never showed and never called me. Eventually I had to leave to feed my granddaughters, WITHOUT MY PARTNERS 2 JACKETS. I am beyyyyyyond pissed....
Read moreHi! I was washing some some quilts here. Close to home and shopping. I only go once in awhile. I went in, asked to buy some soap and was told they no longer sell products but she found some and gave it to me. I put my clothes in the washer and could not find the soap dispenser. The lady told me it is on top. I can’t even see the top! I’m 5’3”. She directed me to a step stool which I used. A little shaky on top step. Then I made my selections and couldn’t find the coin dispenser. Luckily my mentor, Judy(wonderful attendant) knew just how to use my credit card and, voila!, it worked. Then a fella came in with a grocery bag of clothes to wash. He loaded up the washer and, also, couldn’t find coin dispenser. He asked Judy about it and she explained the process. Sadly, he removed his clothes and left. He was so disheartened. I tried to think how I could help but, regretfully, did not think of using my card. You need at least 2 or 3 coin operated machines to accommodate everyone. I felt badly for the guy. He just wanted to wash...
