Legacy Sports Cards — Local services in Saco

Staff was very friendly. Unfortunately that was the only good part. We were vacationing in old orchard beach and I was excited to see that there was a card store nearby. The prices of the single cards were outrageously priced. I was asking about a Justin Herbert rookie card that sells consistently on eBay for 65$. Their price was 299$. The lady working there said that a lot of cards get priced and then never re priced with the ups and downs of the card market. That only the owner could negotiate. So that was out so I decided to look at some fresh packs. Again the prices of brand new packs were double where they should be. We decided to go to Portland mall and they had a couple places in there selling cards and memorabilia. Much better stock and prices were right in line with recent sales. The same packs legacy was charging 39.99$ for I got for 24.99. The staff was more than willing to look up recent card sales and negotiate with me on singles. This past Wednesday, I got up at 9 am to take the hour drive to this card shop. They open at 10. Got there at ten of 10, no one ever showed up at 10. I talked to Joe, who runs a print shop next to the card shop, and was told the card shop would be open at 12. So I decided to stay around the area for 2 hours until 12. 1215 came around, and the card shop was still closed. Come to find out, the owner of the card shop also owns a fence company as well. I personally called both numbers and got no response. So thank you for wasting 4 hours of my day before I had to go into work at 3 that day. Out of all the card shops in a 50 mile radius, I chose you guys and you let me down. That morning he had a total of 6 customers who showed up and left. Don't bother wasting your time...

Went in and the owner was nice up until I asked if I can compare the price to comps. Once he realized I knew what I was doing he became annoyed and kept sighing. He had cards priced at $400-$500 even when they were about $80-$100. And I asked if I could get them at comps but he kept saying “well the guy is hot right now” or “it’s off season.” Wouldn’t recommend this place, everything is overpriced and the second you show any type of knowledge towards cards he...
