I signed up here on a military discount. Great workout vibe when you come here. Open space. The conditioning classes by the personal trainers are awesome. The best is bringing my 6 year old son Bo. He loves Little ninja. They play music, dogeball, calisthenics, and learning to fight. It's great for him. Would highly recommend.

Professional and knowledgeable coaches, big space for MMA, jiu-jitsu, wrestling, gym, boxing, Muay-Thai, pro fighters, beginners as well...you'll find what you're looking for. Not so hard to ran and chitchat with Urijah Faber himself... come to check it out 👍

This used to be a great gym to train at, but now it feels like all they care about is squeezing every dollar out of you. Sad to see the focus shift from fitness to profit.

Overall, this gym is one of the best around. What it has to offer is of high caliber, BUT.... that doesn’t mean that this gym is for the aspiring fighter and the average gym-goer equally.

What you'll get out of this gym depends on your personal goals - because while this gym tries to cater to everyone, it succeeds in some things and lands supbar for others.

MARTIAL ARTS: While you can expect to be coached by world-renowned MMA coaches, what you get out of these classes is determined by how defined your personal goals are.

I recommend having at least a little bit of martial arts experience when taking these classes. Because these classes can scale up to sizes of 30-40 people, expect to put in little more effort to get coach's attention.

This is not to say that the classes are not beginner friendly. It'll just take a lot more work on your end to keep up.

There is a lot more put effort put into the coaching of the grappling classes than there are with striking classes. Depending on what art YOU are into, keep this in mind.

Of course, you can always overcome skill disparities by setting up your own training sessions with others at the gym, and given how many fighters train here, it isn't hard.

It just takes a lot of effort on your end OUTSIDE of class to make progress.

Also consider: there's no consistently available class dedicated to "Mixed Martial Arts" at this gym.

You will have to go out of your way to develop your MMA skills on your own.

If you're training martial arts and would love the exposure to variety, or prefer to be taught by world-class MMA instructors, this gym is for you.

However, keep in mind that MMA is a jack-of-all-trades combat sport. Because BJJ and Muay Thai are taught by MMA coaches but never put together into one MMA class, ask yourself if you'd rather learn these skills from SPECIALIZED BJJ and Muay Thai experts instead.

Because while yes, this is home to Team Alpha Male, keep in mind that most MMA fighters learned how to get REALLY good at one art first.

Regardless, if you're unsure what your goals are or are just curious, give these classes a try and see if it's style that you would like. They're still excellent overall.

FITNESS: Perhaps the strongest part of this gym are the fitness classes.

Every fitness coach is vetted for knowledge and experience. You won't find any instructors here that aren't well-versed in kinesiology and functional fitness... Unlike in most commercial gyms, where personal trainer certificates are as easy to get as signing up for an online course.

I can't say this enough: the coaches here are extremely valuable and are worth the $120/month unlimited fitness price alone.

They show a passion for the LONGEVITY of health, which is an element of fitness overlooked due to the profitability of the short-term "lost weight/gain muscle in 2 months!" industry.

Sure, you'll lose weight and get stronger, but you'll learn to develop a better mental relationship with your body and appreciate what it can do through movement. And that is the greatest form of "gainz" you can get.

PULSE: Pulse is a separate program in this gym that was one of the most intense 45 minute workouts I've ever endured. Pulse takes high intensity interval training (HIIT) to the next level, combining the first half with boxing combinations and the other half with functional circuits involving ladders, kettlebells, and Total Resistance Exercises (TRX).

The ambience of Pulse is one of its most attractive features, as it takes place in a darkened room filled with everchanging rave-lights and occasionally, appearences from local DJs. But don't let this night-club aesthetic fool you; Pulse will make you WORK. Be prepared to constantly trying to catch your breath; only to never find it until the end of the 45 minutes.

This is the most bang-for-your-buck program at this gym.

I recommend every member try at least one class of it to appreciate this gem of a...

In the past, i went there almost everyday for a few years. i no longer go there, so i feel compelled to write this. So here goes. I did like the instructors. But I left.I moved out of the area and was still considering going again but, After a complete disrespect by the lady owner I would not pay another dime there. It happened on a Saturday I brought, my son, she told him to stay in the ring side. Other kids were running around she singled out my son. He walked to were I was ,and she lost her composure marched to him and yelled at him. I don't think so After a few choice words back to her that was it. She brings her dog inside and let's him run around the mats. She needs meds. I will not pay 125 a month to have my family disrespected like that.

8-8-22 update.

I am now in a great position to be able to train again. I called pretty much all the gyms , to see who offers what. I've looked and looked for quite a while.

The schedule thing is most important, no other place can accommodate. And of course good training. Only some boxing gyms, are open late, but, honestly they either are worn down,or the classes are trash. Barely any foot work, bag or even mitt work. Just literally running around and sit ups and squats....

I need weekend and evening options. UF has both. In fact, they were the only ones open Sunday along with Saturday. I remember going here in the past , but, I had to make sure...

I called to see what the scoop was on management. The rude woman is no longer there. 👍 Hasn't been for a while by the sound of things.

They offer standup and bjj pretty much everyday and you can choose whichever you want at the same start time, meaning they offer both at 6 pm Also Urijah teaches a lot of the bjj classes so that's badass already. And I recognize one of the striking coaches names, so I'm glad to see that.

That's how it was in the past, and it honestly is the only way to do it. Most people just want to train, so sometimes they feel like rolling, sometime it's striking, and it changes that day. having a choice is premo. And trying out something besides just one discipline is great.

the aftermath from COVID, most gyms are no more, or, they just didn't improve anything in preparation for the influx of people getting back out . .

So, this time, I went in to tour with my son. It's a much much larger facility, and the schedule fits. I am in a much better situation to be able to train again. There gym itself is very large. Every area is spread apart .

I'm impressed with the changes, is seems much more professional..

I enrolled and will attend the various classes. I will update my rating since I don't like to hurt businesses if they actually made changes for the better. It doesn't seem like it did. But I like to be honest.

I've been going for a few months now. It's mostly good. Eccept for the casual dumb dumb who doesn't know how spar responsibly. Unfortunately you have to go hard with these "tough guys" but every gym has these types. This one though, most the members are good...

I want to share this experience. I have a son with autism. I went up to Alan who is the manager of the gym. I asked him if it he thought it would be possible for my son to learn Martial Arts. Alan told me that Martial Arts is for everyone. He asked around for me, and he ended up pairing my son Adam up with Bre. Bre has been amazing and she has so much patience. Adam is learning jiu-jitsu from Bre. It's been incredible and every lesson is better than the last lesson. It's so impressive. I can't thank Alan enough for this opportunity also. Alan went way above and beyond what I expected. Alan is nice, helpful, and so patient. I want to share a story about Alan also. I went to this gym and wanted to inquire about possibly joining the gym closed at 2. He stayed an extra 20 or so minutes answering any questions There was no pressure to join. None. He was so patient and so friendly. I didn't join at that time. But, I ultimately joined the gym. I cannot say enough great things about Alan also. Everyone at this gym has been so friendly. The people at the front desk are great and very friendly. All the coaches (instructors) have been outstanding and so friendly. Every class I've taken has been quite challenging. That can be intimidating at first, but you get over that in a pretty short amount of time. I have met some really nice members there also. I wanted to share my experience. I highly recommend anyone to become a member here. Thank you for...
