Diann was recommended by our bridal shop. She did alterations for my daughter’s bridal gown and also custom made a dress for me! I had a terrible time finding a dress I loved and had finally found one that was beautiful - but too small to zip up in the back - I ended up buying two of the same dresses and Diann used the fabric to make a custom corset back for the dress. She took great pains to hem it, but keep the beautiful integrity of the ruffle layers on the bottom hem. The back of the dress looked amazing and not at all like it started out as a dress that was too small!

I can’t recommend her enough - she is so very kind and makes you feel special and beautiful and truly wants you to feel your very best in whatever she helps you with! You just don’t find that kind of customer service much anymore! She was upfront with pricing which I haven’t seen before in bridal alterations (we’ve married off 3 daughters now and I’ve never known the price before the work has begun on the dress!) … her prices match her work - not inexpensive for sure - but the work is quality work, done in a timely manner and with amazing customer service! She will be our first choice for our last...

Total rip off! Diane isn't upfront with her fee and she barely suggests nor tells you what the outcome would look like from your idea. She's nice in the beginning then she changes her attitude and acts rude as soon as she gives you the quote. I came there to alter my two gowns and she charged me $1300 which costs more than the price of my gowns and she tells you that she's got bills to pay. It's like I'm paying her shop's month lease. She'll give you an appointment near your event date even if you contacted her months before so that you will feel forced to take her even if ridiculously expensive because you feel the pressure of your event date happening very soon. Rude and unprofessional...shady business! Take your money elsewhere! I took my dress in Wentzville and the lady who altered my gowns did more fixings on them, made great suggestions and only charged me $400 (bless her!) and am very impressed by the outcome. My daughter had wedding dress alternations here by Diann Swain. She 1. added a lining to the bodice, 2. did the dress bustle, 3. Shortened the front of the dress which involved moving up the scalloped hem as well as adjusting the lace appliques. This was amazing work! I would 100% entrust her to do a great job with your wedding dress. She was also recommended as the #1 choice by the salesladies at Boulevard Bride where we purchased the dress from. I did not go any place else to compare prices as I wanted peace of mind. I did think the price was higher than I expected, but so was everything for this wedding (gulp!) The most important thing was she was professional, very nice, and did a great job....
