For starters, everything was a step above all other Mexican restaurants. So, I drive by this place regularly saying, I should just try it. Well, tonight i did. Normally this parking lot is pretty full due to the 6 other businesses that share the lot. Fret not, there is ample parking. However, its 7pm on a Friday night and the parking lot is packed. Only Starbucks and San Jose are open and Starbucks is empty. This place has great food, great wait staff, great bartenders and great food. Oops, already said great food, but maybe you're catching my drift here. I can only speak to the Pollo Guadalajara and Cuco's Margarita, but it touched many other things while I was enjoying my dining experience. The host was super friendly and more than happy to let me sit at the bar. There was a wait for a table tonight, a good sign, but I was just back in town and needed a seat quicker. So the bartender was just as friendly. After a chat, decided on the Cuco's Marg. Very good, a top shelf without the topshelf price and of course, w/o the top shelf alcohol, but dont worry, thats available too, just order the Premium Marg and choose your tequila... For dinner I decided on the Pollo Guadalajara. Also very good, with an unexpected twist. Normally the typical cheese sauce on it, but this had a couple slices of white cheese melted on it that reminded me of whole milk mozzerella, stringy and a nice change. The re-fried beans are made in house, a nice touch considering there were actual beans and bean pieces in it and not just processed bean paste. I totally skipped the Guacamole until the end. HUGE mistake. They also make their Guac in house, twice a day so it is fresh for bothe the lunch and dinner seating. Nice chunks of avocado and excellent flavor. Add some lime and its almost to die for. So much so, I had the bartender wrangle up an order to go. Please, if you have read this far, stop in, you wont regret it and may just be surprised at this semi-hidden gem in Crestwood. They offer dine in, carry out and food delivery service. Cant go wrong here. This IS my new GOTO Mexican Restaurant!!!! Enjoy!
UPDATE: I did try the house Marg after touting the Cuco's Marg above. Stick with Cuco's its the premium without the price. Much better than house. However the premium is made from scratch, and you pick the...
Read moreOne of the worst experiences dining out I have had. Let me start by saying that this place was not even remotely busy while we were there. My family of 4 walked in and were seated pretty quick, and the drink order was taken. Once the drinks were delivered, we had not seen who I thought was our server for roughly 20 minutes. There was another server that was taking care of the only other occupied table I had seen. This server had walked right past our table several times and had seen us sitting there with menues closed and waiting for a server. After waiting 20 minutes for someone to take the order, I went to find the person who took our drink order. I was able to find this person, and he was in total shock that I was asking him if we could order food. I asked him "Are you not our server?" He just shook his head and said come on. Once we got back to the table, he took the order and 30 minutes later we finally saw another individual. This time was a woman that I am assuming was supposed to had been our server the whole time. 2 out of 4 of the meals were completely wrong, and wth the service up to this point I had very little faith in getting a correct replacement. My wife did tell them hers was incorrect, and told the very slowly what it was supposed to be. approximatly 13-15 minutes later, the replacement was brought to the table. I do believe it was even further away from what she had ordered. She decided to eat some of what was brought to the table, but looked like it was a plate of reheated leftovers from who knows when with a couple of slices of cheese half melted on top. The so called server that we finally had, asked me how everything was when she handed me the check. I told her about the visit and she just looked at me, smiled and took our...
Read moreHello all, Re: Credit Cards processing , transaction, surcharge, merchant or convenience fees. 2.99% etc. whichever name is used on this restaurant.
No doubts about the food , service and atmosphere is just awesome. I do have a concern of why the fees is also applied to a debit card?. Debit cards are less risk and is kind like cash. My card say DEBIT right on top but were swiped like a credit card per the receipt. Maybe would be nice if the employee swiping my card can swipe as a debit and their system should not charge fees. Not fixing this can send few options to the client, options like ,
Guys/girls Yes! It is very hard to keep a business in any country, but the country and banks also need to make revenue as well, which allow people to make profit through business in the country. But, the consumer cant absorb every cost pounded by banks or internal revenue, so! How about if fees are exempt for debit cards? Help me in the business of saving money and i keep supporting your business of making money.
Lastly, i might be able to let go the fee if every non american business owner ( Chinese, mex , cubans etc) will engage with donation to american organizations such as children's hospital, american heart association, cancer or how about military veterans discounts?.
IMPORTANT! Dear restaurant owner, as a common business practice , your reply is...
