OK, so a couple of days ago I stopped into Stitch Craft Upholstery, asking that an armrest be recovered, and a protective front bra for my 300ZX be resewn. I expected to return in 7-10 days and pay $100, or so. Boy, was I wrong!

Stephanie (great fun to talk with) immediately surmised that her super-duper fabric cleaner and a good workover with a stiff brush could return my armrest to near-new condition. She spent a few minutes in the parking lot cleaning the armrest, to near perfection. I just stood and supervised. :-)

Then she told me where to go to buy the needed bungee cord for the bra, which I returned with, expecting to leave the bra for several days. Not so! She immediately sat down at her sewing machine, removed the old bungee cords, sewed on the new ones, and handed it back to me in under five minutes.

Total cost for all of the above? $10. Cash, of course.

Two pieces of blue Napa leather had been staring me in the face for months when I had my stroke of genius--I would use them to wrap my Jeep's dash panels! As any avid DIY'er would do, I jumped on YouTube and watched how it's done. Nope! I'm gonna mess it up. It's time to hire a professional. Enter Stephanie. She was cool, she was friendly, she immediately let me know how stupid my idea was (my words (she was much more tactful)). Leather in St George, Utah is, apparently, a terrible idea that requires more conditioning than you'd find in a bottle of Mane 'N Tail. So instead of spending a bunch of money on something unnecessary and unwise, I spent none on my visit. But I'll tell you, the next time that I have a stroke of genius that involves upholstery, and it turns out to actually be genius, Stephanie is gonna get that...

Stephenie rocks. Had a large tear in the passenger seat of my 15 year old SUV. She offered me no less than four options to solve the problem at varying prices so I could choose how much I wanted to spend on the old vehicle. After I decided, she hunted for a supplier other than the auto manufacturer in order to save me money. She custom ordered out of state requiring a couple weeks for manufacture and delivery which matched the timeline she told me to expect. Made sure I could use my vehicle in the meantime. On time fix to the problem at a very affordable price. Frankly, considering the amount of work required I think I got a great deal. Seat looks new. Hard working lady providing a great service.
