Experience is with fishing gear. Just go to another retailer unless Dicks is your only option. I bought a rod, and within the first two weeks it broke swinging a 14 ounce bass into the boat. The clerk claimed that they sell protection plans and that I should have bought one, so they would not replace it.
Never in my life have I had to buy a protection plan for a fishing rod in order for a retailer to take care of an issue like this.
I know many, many circumstances where a rod broke, guide insert fell out, reel seat came off, and the retailer took care of it. Dicks didnāt even offer to help with the warranty info for the company who makes the rod.
If you need fish gear, here are a few different options with better service:
Bass Pro, Cabelaās (Now also Bass Pro), Scheels - Iāve seen these stores replace equipment with no questions asked even if it was just an accidental break, outside of the warranty. Even small, local tackle shops generally help with these situations.
Omnia fishing, Tackle Warehouse, and countless other online retailers - The first two are generally pretty good and their shipping is quick. My most recent experience with Omnia was from my Dadās rod. They confirmed that the rod would be replaced and sent him all the shipping and warranty info so that he could send his rod in and have it replaced within a week or two. Both of these first two also have a great selection of gear and run great sales. Meanwhile, Dicks has products online that are unavailable but labeled āin stockā.
I donāt even want to think about the amount of money I spend on outdoor and sporting gear, but I do know that I will never spend one more penny of my hard earned...

After tracking down a sales person and showing him what I was interested in and then waiting 10 minutes I tracked him back down and asked if he found the shoes. He stated he asked someone else to go get them. I then waited for this other guy to go get them, he come back with them and took off. They did not fit so I had to ask another guy who was just wondering around the area and staring towards the front of the store if they had them in wide. He said no and offered no follow up solutions to maybe help get me in a shoe and wondered off like a mind dead idiot. Go elsewhere to get service and shoes because they are not interested in helping customers at the St. Joseph store. Woke DEI...

Your parking lot is currently torn up, causing people to have to go the long dangerous way around to get to the other places within the same parking area. Poor choice for you guys to pull this bullshit And whoever came up with this idea has straw and marbles for brains, Not even darwin would give them a prize. And if I could give you no stars, I would, because I don't care if you're a good store or even if you're a good company when you don't think about the others in the same parking area as you, then it just shows that you...
