Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Saint Joseph

I ordered my food online went to pick it up and when I got there and asked for it the lady that was working (didn’t have a name tag like the other girls) told me she had placed the food at the online order area and it was now gone so someone else had picked it up. Okay, not their fault it’s gone but I paid and would like my food. I asked her what I needed to do or what could be done. By the look on her face I could tell I was seriously inconveniencing the woman with my question. Told me the only thing she could do is call her manager and then stares at me with this same lovely look. I asked very politely if she cared to do that for me. With a roll of the eyes she walks to the back and makes the call. After the manger gives the okay one of the other girls started making my food right away while the other made my smoothie. The other employees saved this review from being 1 star by being extremely nice and helpful without acting like I was a major inconvenience to their day. By the end of my visit I could definitely tell there was a reason one of them didn’t have a name tag while the rest did. Overall it will be my last time visiting due to the inconvenience I seemed to be. The best part were the chips. Took about 45 minutes to get a wrap, 2 smoothies, and a salad. Food was bland, smoothies tasted like grinded up ice, and the employees were unhelpful with the promo for a free smoothie and lied about it being ended when it doesn't end till December 2021. The promo sign was right in front of our faces,, even though I never asked when it was supposed to end, they just assumed. Whether it was a lie to get us out of their faces or they were ill informed,, it was still just kind of unprofessional. Seemed like all they cared about was the drive thru. I love Tropical Smoothie, but this is my least favorite location I've been to. Overall, the staff is nice but seem mostly interested in talking amongst themselves & will sometimes take a little while to get around to taking your order. I love getting the santa fe chicken quesadilla from TS, but several times I've had a bad experience with it here. I've gotten unmelted cheese and luke-warm chicken at my worst visit, but I've also gotten an unsliced quesadilla which makes eating while driving hard, and a time when my quesadilla was slightly burnt.
