Incredibly disappointed with the lack of customer service.
I received a $50 giftcard from my husband for Christmas. I went to the store to use it. Unfortunately, when I struggled to scratch off the film on the back to get the PIN, the clerk offered to help and accidentally scratched off some of the numbers. No hard feelings. She was trying to help. However, the store manager was unable to help me and told me to call the number on the back. When I tried the supposed gift card assistance number on the back it simply sent me to the general customer service line. They said I needed to speak to someone in the gift cards service center and transferred me. However, I was unable to gain access to a live rep. I called back. Same thing.
Luckily, my husband saved the receipts, so I went to the store to see if they were able to help. I spoke to the store retail manager and they were not listening to what I was saying, assumed I had purchased the card that day myself, and started to scold the clerk who'd helped me earlier in front of me. When I finally got her to understand that the card was a gift and I had tried to use it but couldn't, she was unable to find a resolution other than, "when you're ready to use your card, just ask to have a manager override it." That didn't sit well with me. What happens if the manager doesn't believe me and thinks I'm trying to steal? Nope. So I called the service number a third time, re-explained the situation, and asked for the issue to be escalated.
When I received the email requesting pictures of the receipt, I complied with as clear of pictures as I could, and included a picture of the gift card as well.
The next day I received an email requesting my name, phone number, and email address. When I replied with my correct information, I was told it did not match my "order," so they are unable to escalated the issue. Nevermind the fact that I have only ever used that information and that they had confirmed my information ALL THREE times I'd called and I don't have an "order." The transaction codes are on the receipts that all show matching information.
Super disappointed and done with this store unless they can expedite...
Read moreMy recent experiences at Ultra have left me with mixed feelings. During my first encounter, I entered the store, and unfortunately, no one greeted me. I found myself navigating the aisles on my own, feeling a bit lost. When I finally made my way to the counter, I was met with a less-than-welcoming attitude from a sales associate named Jamie. Instead of offering assistance, she watched as I walked to the wrong counter and then abruptly stated, "I can help you over here" in a rather rude manner.
On my second visit, the lack of greeting persisted. I spent around 10 minutes in the store without finding what I needed, and despite three employees being present, none offered to assist. As I approached the counter, I found myself waiting behind a mother and daughter who seemed unprepared. To my dismay, when they left, the sales associate, Jamie, turned her back on me and began working on something else without acknowledging my presence. When I finally approached the register and placed my items down, she turned around with an apparent attitude and asked for my number in a less-than-friendly manner.
Regrettably, I must express my disappointment with Jamie's conduct, as I felt she exhibited unprofessionalism and, regrettably, what seemed like discriminatory behavior. Customer service is a critical aspect of any shopping experience, and unfortunately, my encounters at Ultra have left much to be desired in this regard.
I hope that Ultra takes these comments into consideration to improve the overall customer experience...

We had talked for a little bit and had some laughs. I told her what happened when I came in. I said I felt I was judged on what I was wearing and maybe looked as if I didn't have any money.
