This was once a beautiful mall with a bridge, fountains, skylights, wonderful decorations . But now that is all gone by the wayside and this mall is rapidly going downhill just like all the other indoor malls across the Nation. This is a beautiful building and a beautiful location I will hate to see it go. Juveniles hang out here at night making it unsafe. The crime level has certainly risen and it needs to be handeled now just like the Towson Towne Center is handling their business before it is too late.
I haven't been to this mall in a while, so I decided to edit this review. It is a shame that I once worked to construct this mall. Due to the lack of proper maintenance the removal of the fountains the lighting and the lack of a Santa Claus for a Christmas display on a weekend shows the direction this mall is headed. There are a lot of closed stores, along with some of the stores being a very poor quality and taste. It was sad for me to revisit this place knowing what it once looked like. Look at the photos I produce and see the decline in this one time beautiful Mall. I wish I had some really good words to say however even the bathrooms were dirty. An anchor point to the growing retail sector on the north side of Salisbury is now a disgrace. This mall is what brought all the larger stores that now occupy the north side of Salisbury, Maryland; however most people just ride by due to the lack of interest because of this malls faded glory from terrible mismanagement. Unprofessional crack repairs in the tile floors, the beauty that once made this place magical for both kids and adults as long since faded. Even the outside of the mall remains unkempt. This used to be the wonderful place to go shopping for the holidays, now it just seems like the...
Read moreI've been coming to this mall for over 20 years and I love its classic feel and appeal. They haven't over sterilized the place to look like every other Mall. Meaning, it still has its little nooks and crannies and dimly-lit areas that make it feel like a mall from the 70s to the 90s. While I do think there's an overabundance of clothing stores, the stores that are there that are different offer up a variety of items for around the home. I wish there was an arcade in it for not only me, but I'm sure parents would love it as it would keep the kids busy while they were shopping.
Other than that, I wouldn't allow any more clothing stores to come in. You guys need more of a variety of everything and you are already pushing 75% of your capacity being clothing related. I understand it it's kind of a norm for the malls. But at the same time, if you want to drive more customers and you definitely want the stores that will do so. Since Sears has left , it would be great to see another different anchor like Dave & Buster's, which would offer up the arcade, a bowling alley and great food to go with it. Something that would draw people in.
I think the mall in Annapolis is a good representation of the variety I am talking about. Anything you could look for is probably there. Not only that, it reminds me a lot of an 80's mall where there are areas where you can get lost. Which is incredible. Also, get a Long John Silver's back. There are absolutely none on the Eastern Shore and many people crave their food.
Other than that, I love coming...
Read moreIt's a small city mall, not much to say. If it has the stores you need/like, great. If not, it's not worth a visit. Most of the shops are trendy things, as expected of a mall, and there's very little in terms of local/non-franchises to be found. On a regular day the place almost looks abandoned - if it wasn't for Black Friday this place would've closed down by now.
The food court is one of the most uninspired I've seen in my entire life - they place all the children rides right at the center so you can enjoy your expensive-cheap-tasting food while listening to children blaring and screaming next to your table. Some of the food choices - that have already shut down - were the worst I've ever tasted.
The movie theater is nice and big - makes you feel like you're somewhere out of the peninsula, but the prices? I used to live somewhere a regular movie (in a better, comfier theater) was 5 bucks a pop, throw an extra 3 bucks for popcorn and a soda. Here? less than 20 bucks and you won't have a proper movie going experience - it's more expensive than the movie theater in Times Square, in NYC - let that sink in for a moment...
So yeah. My boyfriend works there and I still don't visit the place unless I...
