We decided to stop in for dinner last night 11/25/17 after our last experience of not such good service the last time. Yet again to only be disappointed, from the start, the Host wanted to sit us in an area where many tables were either dirty and the area was crowded, I asked him to move us to a both that was not right on top of other diners, this went in one ear and out the other. We were sat in a both right next to 3 other tables were you can hear others conversations this is not my idea of a quiet dinner, but I let it go. Please understand this was 9pm not a busy time of night there might have been 3-4 tables in in section seated for service.
The servers years ago used to be trained with proper etiquette, I believe that there has been little to no training of the servers of today, with a few exceptions, but our waitress is in need of a lot of training. she was very nice and I'm sure meant well, however, interrupting people while they are in a conversation, calling patrons Babe and serving the only 3 tables she had as if they were all together and getting one of the orders wrong is unacceptable. Please understand there were only 6 people she was serving.
I ordered the special of Surf and Turf with Stake and Shrimp, the only thing cooked correctly on my plate was the stake, the vegetable Brussels sprouts were roasted black but not cooked trough cores left on so they were hard , the shrimp were overcooked dried out and the potatoes were cold. by this point I just gave up ate what I could and kept my mouth shut so I could get out without getting upset and ruining the rest of my evening. I needed to clear my head and calm down before I said anything.
Now I know you may think that this person must post a lot of restaurant complaints just to get free food, Please know this is not the case. I used to love going to Red Lobster often planned many celebrations there but a service and the food started to become disappointing we stopped going. I was in hopes that maybe things had picked up. I am not after anything free, but would like to see the service and the management improve so that we do not have yet another business close because they don't pay attention to what is needed. Please note that a copy of this will be sent to the corporate office as I feel that up[er management needs to know about the down fall of...
Read moreMy husband and I went for dinner last night around 7:30pm. Not too busy but we waited for about 10 minutes to even be spoken to, by a young lady who walked past us about 4 times before she finally asked us if we were being helped. We get seated and are promptly greeted by Jeremy. He was amazing! Very attentive but not over the top. However, THE FOOD WAS HORRIBLE!!! We both ordered endless shrimp. Hubby ordered popcorn shrimp and linguini, his shrimp was burned beyond recognition. I had scampi and fried shrimp with a baked potato. My potato was half cooked, scampi was ice cold and the fried shrimp was like warm at best. Husband asks for a different plate of popcorn shrimp and some scampi, when that comes out, it is burned again and the scampi looked and tasted like it had been sitting under the heat lamps for hours. Jeremy felt so bad about everything and was so super kind. He took the food, I assume to show a manager and comes back to tell us that he has put in a fresh order for us. At this point I was done. I could not continue to eat this rubbery, cold food. A few minutes later, he returns again with 2 fresh scampi dishes and some fried shrimp...again burned. I asked for the check and was so disgusted that I will probably never go here again. The ONLY person to show any concern or anything about the poor quality of food was poor Jeremy. It was not his fault at all, he did everything he could do to make it better but it could not be rectified. I think what upsets me the most is that, never during this whole fiasco, did the manager on duty even come past our table to apologize or try to make it right. I mean NEVER CAME TO OUR TABLE!!! How do you let this kind of situation happen without a simple apology, that's all we wanted. I wasn't looking for a free meal, if I was, I would have stayed home. I just think it's ridiculous and unacceptable for a manager to leave things like...
Read moreI'm originally from New England. Missing my Maine lobster , we decided to try this out. Got there, there was a 40 minute wait, not bad for a Saturday night. However when you finally got seated and looked around you realized why there was a wait. There were over a dozen tables that had not been cleared from previous patrons dining. It took another 10 minutes before the waiter came to ask us if we wanted drinks, but than watching our waiter, he was all over the restaurant serving other patrons, why would you not have certain sections assigned for the servers? They are doing the best they can in this situation. Than comes my meal, I ordered a steak with lobster tail. Asked that my steak be cooked medium well, when I got my food, my steak was more medium rare than well. So that being said, I didn't return the steak as I am weary as to what they do to the food sent back. So I dealt with it, and the lobster tail, I wouldn't consider it a lobster tail, very tiny two bites and it's gone. The entire time we ate our dinner, we watched how the place worked, those table we saw not cleared when we sat down, still were not cleared when we received our check. As we were paying the bill we noticed the hostesses that greeted us are now coming to clear the tables. Why are they clearing tables? Where are your bus boys? Being in the hospitality business , I have very high standards when it comes to things like this. I think it was understaffed and the gentleman walking around, assuming he was the manager this night did nothing to correct any of it. I don't think I'll be returning here again. And I have eaten at several red lobsters and never came across this. The only positive thing I can say is the waitstaff and hostesses are working hard at their job with what is handed to them. They...
