We have had great customer service from San Fransisco Design, and especially dealing with Lynn. We purchased a Gamma Sectional and Lynn explained how it takes a couple of months for Gamma to build the sofa and ship it from Italy. The amount of time it took was within the time Lynn had explained to us. Then, upon delivery, one portion of the sectional would not fit down our stairs, and the delivery guys did their best, but bumped our wall. No worries though, the very next day, they had dismantled the sofa to fit down the stairs, re-assembled it, and fixed every minor cosmetic injury to perfection. Also, we ordered a contrast pillow, which was included free with our couch; however, Gamma sent us one that wasn't the contrasting color, it was the same leather as the sofa. I emailed Lynn, she recognized the minor error, and ordered the right pillow immediately. When the pillow came in, they had their delivery people bring it, instead of me going to the store to pick it up, and they let us keep the original pillow...Awesome! Many might think these things are normal, and obvious, but they aren't. Businesses are starting to lose the basic customer service principles, but not San Fransisco Design. These folks do it the right way. And our Gamma Sectional is Amazing...to look at, sit on, lay on, and to feel with your hands. In most things...you get what you pay for. Thanks Lynn and San Fransisco Design, we will be in again to buy more...
Read moreWhile we had a mostly positive experience with purchasing from SFD, it only takes one negative issue to ruin it. The sofa we ordered (see image) arrived without the pillows. When I questioned as to where they were, I was told that they needed to be ordered separately. We were never informed of this. When you are shown an image of an item of furniture and even comment about the large pillows on it, you should get what's in the picture...or at least been informed that what's in the picture, isn't what you'll get. Very disappointing and deceiving. You would think that they would cover the cost to now get them, due to misrepresentation. This didn't happen either. This tainted the whole purchase.
Since I posted this, the manager of the store contacted me and went above and beyond to rectify this situation. After paying an additional amount to order the matching pillows, he refunded us and got the pillows to us ASAP. Many...

Jenessa is so easy to work with - her demeanor is professional yet warm and courteous. She is extremely knowledgeable about the selections offered in the store and the options available, and she gets bonus points for listening and asking questions so she knows exactly what you're looking for and doesn't waste your time. At the same time, you feel as if her attention is focused solely on you and your needs at the moment - a winning combination.
