Sugar House Furniture — Local services in Salt Lake City

We absolutely love Sugar House Furniture! We were looking for a bedroom dresser big enough for two adults and some baby clothes, and we knew we wanted to spend the money for a piece that would last decades if not our lifetime. We decided to just take a peek in store to see what was available, and we found the perfect dresser right there in the showroom - the quality is fantastic! You could smell the wood in the showroom and everything was solidly built with quality craftsmanship, no veneer or mdf. We also really appreciated that the business is family run and oriented, we had our two young kids with us and Ben got our 4 year old busy helping stock some furniture polish while we filled out the order forms. Our kiddo was thrilled he got to help out!

They happened to have the piece we wanted already in stock in their warehouse, Chris and Ben helped us get delivery set up within 3 days and their movers are top notch - they managed to get that huge dresser into our little house and through some tight hallways without a single ding or scratch. We walked into Forsey's by recommendation (you can see my review for them under my same username, if you wish). Spoilers, I'm here reviewing Sugar House as a 5/5. You can probably guess what sort of rating Forsey's got.

I don't normally name names in online reviews, but in this case I just have to. Benjamin over at Sugarhouse Furniture was fantastic! He let us wander the store a little bit without swooping in to make a sale. We made our round in the showroom and returned to the bed set that we really liked. Ben answered our questions about the pieces and really listened to us when we described what we were looking for. He was knowledgeable about what they carry. Everything from where the wood comes from to the types of wood and stain. He didn't look down his nose at us but he wasn't pushy to make a sale either. He simply listened, answered questions, showed us pieces, and made appropriate suggestions. We were happy to swipe our card there and we'll do it again the next time we need home or office furnishings.

Nothing but the best! We bought a Trend Manor solid cherry wood bedroom suite. Unfortunately, the headboard developed a crack along one of the thinner panels. We had no idea if it came from the movers or just a freak of circumstances. We had not noticed it for almost 2 years.

On a whim, and not expecting anything-we contacted Ben and Chris, who offered to contact trend Manor. Shock! Even though the suite we purchased was discontinued, the owner of Trend Manor offered to stand by their awesome reputation and remake us a new headboard! What? Soon, Ben and Chris contacted us and said our new headboard was ready to be installed. They arranged to do the exchange within a day of contact. They replaced the headboard on time and quickly. As a local restaurant owner, I am still overwhelmed with the amazing effort Sugarhouse Furniture took to make this good even though we at the minimal hoped for a repair.

Spend the money on Trend manor (still family owned and made in California), and be assured Sugarhouse Furniture will be worth every dollar you spend on top quality heirloom furniture. ...
