DON'T BUY SEE'S CHOCOLATES - THE CHOCOLATE CRUMBLES WHEN YOU BITE INTO THEM! I have been buying See's Candies for years - at least 3 times per year. In the past, the quality has been exceptional. However, I purchased a $55 box of Nuts and Chews and the chocolate crumbles when you bite it. I called the store - they are aware of the problem and continue selling poor quality product. They quickly added that all their product is fresh. This only tells me the quality has plummeted. They explained that they are struggling to temper the chocolate properly, source good quality components, and find reliable shipping companies. Great excuses for a company going down the drain. Walking in the store today, I was immediately transported to a time long ago and felt as if my mom was shopping with me. The store looked just as I remembered and the candy tasted even better!! It’s nice to walk into a store that has kept up with the times by offering some new designs and products, but continues on with the old traditions that made it so special to begin with.

When I politely asked for two more, the older white-haired clerk responded with an uncomfortable smile and asked, “How many samples are you going to get?” The tone made me feel very uncomfortable.
I asked her directly, “How many samples are allowed?” and she replied, “One or two.” If that’s the policy, I completely understand—but we were three people spending $150. The attitude we received made it feel like we were asking for too much, which was disappointing and unnecessary.
