Really disappointed in this Freebirds location. My husband and I both worked at Freebirds locations for a few years, so we know what the standards of service and cleanliness are. And unfortunately, this store did not reach those standards at all. The store was dirty--the line had customer hair on it, the meat on the line was dry, the outside tables were dirty, the floor had trash (but we and another couple were the only ones in the store so it wasn't busy). The restrooms had no paper towels. The customer service was questionable-- the two ladies helping us were always talking but never did I once see them clean tables, refill the line, or do anything to upkeep the store. They were a little disrespectful to both my husband and I when we went to order. The music was extremely loud to the point where we did not want to dine inside. It just felt sad to see how the store began to fail in cleanliness and care. We noticed they had a 94 on their health department score, and that's a red flag in and of itself. If you're doing everything right, a 94 is not something you should be obtaining. I can see health-based lawsuits in the future if the owner doesn't step up. Go to the Huebner or Plaza del Norte...

We were supremely disappointed by today’s visit. The staff was rude - I think they were trying to come off as cool and edgy but it was just rude. We had to repeat our orders a couple of times. I asked for onions and the lady making my burrito stated, “there are peppers in there too.” I acknowledged but hoped she would put more onions than peppers. She did the opposite. No worries; I removed them. My daughter ordered a quesadilla that had minimal cheese. She was using her queso to make it cheesier. So I went back up to the order station, showed them the quesadilla and asked for additional shredded cheese. The same worker questioned me about it. She gave me one small serving so I asked for another one. She refused to give it to me. I said to her that it was a quesadilla and it needed cheese. She raised her voice and said loudly, “it has cheese!” She walked away and another worker had to come over and provide it. I’m not sure what was up with the staff today but it was bad at best. For $50 for me and three kids for lunch I would expect a little more. I sent an email to the store with these same concerns and no one got back to me. One of the rude workers must be in charge of...

The gentleman who was running around back and forth was super nice and was doing his best, but no one else inside greeted me or anyone else. Just looked at me but said nothing. Not even a "someone will be right with you." Stood there for almost 15 min. The guy in front of me was there longer before being helped. Another person came in and then left as no one greeted him either, and the wait to order took a while, and only 3 of us were in there. I understand there are online orders, too, but it only takes a few seconds to greet people and let them know someone will come to take our order as soon as they can. The place seems super short staffed. The one guy who was doing everything (running around preparing food, handing out food and running the cash register) was nice and was doing so much while one lady was only making food and just stared at people when they came in but said nothing and there was also someone else...

Love the burritos and the chips Edit: april 22, 2021 Not sure what happened here. Everything is up-charged now .i got a monster and had pulled pork (extra 50¢) refried bean cilantro rice, queso ($1.50), lettuce, tomato and sour cream. Should be good but it's all bland or something. Not as good anymore. No ground beef anymore. Our salsa AND queso tasted off like soapy (these were on the sides for our chips and we both do not have that cilantro/soap flavor issue). That and my tea was sweet, but not strong. I used to like this place and so far it's just gone down hill. They took awayost of the aluminum foil sculptures. That and you can get actual fresh chips from HEB that are better. The store staff was great but the food is blah now.

Not a great experience for us. The food was okay but that's where the positives end. The staff were distracted chatting amongst themselves and communication was difficult/unprofessional. The restaurant itself is FILTHY. We ended up wiping down our own table. There was food on the floor and drinks spilled on the seats. Both trash cans were overflowing. No napkins in the main dispenser, and the sides of the drinks machine were covered with fingerprints/splatters. Windows were grimy too. This place needs a DEEP clean. Ironically cleaning supplies were left out in a corner of the restaurant which was also off-putting.

I’ve deleted my previous review because I mistakenly thought their menu specified the brisket was $1.50. Watch out for unadvertised pricing. They won’t tell you the brisket costs an overpriced $5.70 extra on Top of the cost of the standard burrito ($7.30). Had I known that the price was that much more (no signs and the server didn’t mention anything) I would have not chosen that meat. You’re better off going to chipotle where their new meat offerings and “limited time” offerings are priced very closely to what the other options are (aka reasonably priced)
