WORST PLACE TO BUY A DRESS... if there was a way to place negative stars I would have chosen this option, but I am forced to choose one star just to write this review. I was forced to get a dress here for a quinceniera my daughter is going to stand in. The dress they ordered was way too small for her. I understood that the staff called the designer on that day, Tuesday, and was told the "owner" would rush the dress to be delivered and would be in the shop by the end of the week. I called over a week later to see if the dress was in and I was told that the dress would not be in until the following week, which was not enough time to have the dress altered for the event which is the day after the dress would arrive. I asked to have the number to the owner since the employees are the one's communicating this information to me. The employee advised she was not able to provide the owners contact number and she would have him call me cause he lives in California. I refused to allow them to disconnect my call and requested they call the owner on a three way line. Upon my request the owners "mom" came on the line yelling at me saying they ordered the dress it take two weeks deal with it. I asked for her name and she refused just said owners mom. I was trying to ask why did the owner tell their employee that the dress was going to be rushed and I would have the dress by the end of the week. The "owners mom" kept repeating they ordered the dress it takes two weeks. She told not to call back and hung up on me. I called the mall manager and complained, he gave me two numbers to the owner, Stephen Bay, I called the first number a male answered, I asked for Stephen Bay, and the male asked whom I was, I told him I was a customer and he then says "I don't know what your talking about I don't own a dress shop" When I have someone call me and ask for someone else other than me I immediately tell them they have the wrong number. I called the second number and went straight to voice mail. About 5 min later one of the employee's called me and decided to tell me the dress was ordered Monday, four days after they knew they I needed a larger size. It is no fault of the employee's, the owner Stephen Bay and his mother "owners mother" should be held accountable and he should have called me by now to apologize about the issue. This is the one and only time I will do business with this company. My daughter will be having a Quinceniera this year and so glad that I did not choose to purchase from The Dress shop and owner Stephen Bay and his mother whom have a language barrier just so you all know. I will report their incompentance again to the mall manager again. Unfortanetly the location in San Antonio is not registered with the Better Business Bureau, but I will find a way to file complaint there also. DO NOT SHOP HERE, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE BY OWNER...

My daughter grabbed an xl ( which she had been trying on at other stores all day and they fit) , the lady takes them from my arm and says she’ll put them In a fitting room for my daughter to try! She then proceeded to tell my daughter she should be trying a 2x not an xl. While my daughter was in the fitting room this lady proceeded to tell me they don’t allow them to try dresses that won’t fit because they can damage the dresses. I was LIVID! I showed her pictures of my daughter In an xl and told her we knew her size she had been trying dresses all day! My daughter has lost 85 lbs & is already self conscious she doesn’t need an employee who is supposed to lift them up not be telling her what size she thinks she wears! This lady needs fired to be honest! I will never shop here ever again because of your rude employee! & by the way the xl DID fit my daughter- maybe something is wrong with your eyes - that’s why your tracks were showing. Read moreMy wife came in with dress and child for alterations but they said they only had a seamstress on Friday and Saturday nights from 6-9, which is odd in and of itself. So my wife made an appt with the clerk for 6 pm on Saturday. We showed up and not only did they not have an appt for us, they said their seamstress doesn’t even come on til 7:30. We weren’t going to wait 90 min to see if we could possibly be seen. The clerk had no idea what was going on, never offered to speak to a manager, and never offered any concessions or discount on the anticipated service. Their attitude indicated that they clearly had sufficient business that they did not need to concern themselves with us or our time.
This was a horrible experience with non-existent customer care or support. We will not be using them in the future. If you desire alterations, make sure you confirm at least 2-3 times and get something in writing as it appears they take nothing less than that as...
