TLDR: Better than slum lords, but still not worth it. Seek accommodation elsewhere.
Having lived here for 3 years in one of the townhouses, I have to say that calling this place "luxury" is a bit of a joke.
They use cookie cutter solutions and the amenities are really no better than what you get at a garden variety apartment complex these days.
The townhome I lived in had the HVAC unit was right there in the livingroom closet. The thing is so loud that it drowned out audio from the television.
They never did anything to fix the dryer vent from banging on the wall outside when it got windy. Super loud and disruptive, when you work from home.
The passcode for the garage door is very insecure. These fools know nothing about security. When I found out what it was, I immediately forced them to change it on my unit.
For 3 whole years, the garage doors have been easy to break into. They use very weak wafer core locks. These are one of the easiest locks to pick. It's so easy a child could do it with just a paperclip.
I found this out after the GFCI circuit that the garage door opener was connected to was tripped outside of their office hours. Maintenance was unwilling to help and I had to pay a locksmith $200 to come by and break in for me. After this I learned lock picking to do it my damn self.
One of my neighbors there was a detective. I met this person by happenstance when I was breaking into my own garage one day when the garage door openers stopped working (probably due to radio interference, not really sure because they started working again later). I literally helped the detective access their garage too because they couldn't get in either.
Also those Schlage locks they use are extremely easy to bypass, via the drainage hole on the bottom. They would have been better off just using standard pin keyed locks that everyone else uses.
When presented with information about the exterior vulnerabilities, Sarah Rodriguez didn't seem to care. She literally was the manager. I showed her video of me literally getting into my garage with a simple piece of metal (not even specialized lock picking tools). Apathy isn't what anyone should want from management for problems like this.
If you want luxury, you wont get it here. The service and amenities does not justify the price. You can literally go mortgage a really nice house and pay 50% less than what you would be paying for the townhomes here. The reason I know this is because instead of taking another greedy price hike with a lease renewal, I just went and bought a house. The houses available on the market are not only cheaper, but better than what you can get here. Also you can sell the house and get something back. These people will try to nickle and dime you with a vague bill when you leave.
Having shopped around, I can't say any of the other luxury rental locations in San Antonio are much better than the mid-range...

Make sure you give 60 days notice even if you don’t extend your lease. The penalty for not doing so is severe. Two months rent as the penalty and about one month’s rent for a “reletting charge.”
Search words are “notice to vacate from tenant.” The lease requires you to get a written response back in order for your notice to be valid.
Get YOUR OWN renters insurance . They make you pay a security deposit, liability insurance, and a separate $99 fee - basically you pay three times for only the complex to be protected. If you pay for the liability insurance they recommend, it only protects them. It’s basically the same price to get your own renter’s insurance that protects you, but also includes liability insurance.
Set up Spectrum services on the Spectrum website by yourself. It is very easy to accomplish. This the least expensive option, especially compared to letting the apt complex order services for you.
You may notice that you’ll sign a contract, and then when you go pick up your keys, they’ll give you completely different numbers. Remember that a contract is legally binding for both parties.
This place has the vibe of a North Korean hotel. It looks nice, but nothing works. It’s all for show.
Package room isn’t nearly large enough. I always see a ton of packages left out on the floor because there isn’t enough space in the package locker.
The grills cannot be ignited because the igniters are all broken. Another resident said you have to bring your own lighter. I’m surprised they still supply gas, but glad they do, for now. Most of the sinks the common areas do not have water turned on to use.
The workstations at the computer center are non functional.
Smokers generally use the garage stairwells to smoke.
They say that the amenities are available 24/7, but they turn off the Starbucks machine after business hours.
There is zero water pressure in the shower.
The men's bathroom in the common area is not kept stocked with toilet paper. Be forewarned! There are paper towels, though it seems a bad idea to have one but not the other.
Communication is not great here. They don't tell you, or give you printouts, about how things work at the complex. You just have to guess, and if you mess up, they will say "But you're not supposed to do that!" How would anyone know? They don't tell you a thing.
Our vehicle and about 5 or 6 others have already had their windows smashed, in the short time I’ve been here. Unfortunately the apt complex doesn't seem interested in cleaning up the broken glass, even thought it could cause...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I had a positive experience initially when living in a unit closer to the pool. Once we moved units to a seemingly nice corner unit on the exterior of the building, issues started to emerge. We had to postpone moving units over two weekends due to the new unit smelling awful. We learned that this was due to a corporate policy not allowing the changing of carpets if there is not visible stains present. As a result, we had two weekends wasted where we were ready to move but were unable to do so. We had to live with an apartment full of boxes for two weekends and had to cancel plans with people who were offering to help us move. We finally moved in after a lot of help from Raquel, who is a true gem and a sole bright spot in all of this mess. If you do have an issue, she will go above and beyond. A five star review for her.
After we moved in three weeks removed from our initial move in date, we had issues with paying our rent bill due to the incorrect amount being sent to us. We were called while on vacation and informed that we needed to bring a check and that we could not pay online now due to the late payment. We clarified with the manager that we could pay when we got back since we were out of the state. We started getting calls from the account manager about being evicted while on vacation despite talking with the manager earlier. These calls went on for several days until we got back to town and got a notice that we would be evicted if payment was not received later that day. We clarified with the account manager that we could pay online and did so. The same week, we had noise issues with a dog above our unit that went on for over an hour past midnight and was unceasing until it mysteriously stopped. We called the complaint line but nothing was done and we could only leave a message. There was no follow up around this. The following week on a Tuesday, after we went to sleep around 11:30pm, we heard loud noises of a party going on in the unit under ours. The noise complaint line went straight to voicemail. I had to go downstairs to the unit where a kind lady told me they would keep the noise down. It was very noisy for a long while after unfortunately.
The standard at legacy is not a place to get good sleep or have your concerns heard by people who can help you. We are a little over a month into our new lease, and my girlfriend and I are already worn out with the noise and the lack of a coherent system to respond to concerns. If you are a working professional and need sleep, please be careful about which unit...
