My wife and I spent a night in San Antonio celebrating our anniversary and came here for Saturday morning breakfast around 10am on the recommendation of a friend. Great little neighborhood tucked away between the Pearl district and River Walk. She started off with a double espresso from a little coffee place next door and then we ordered Chilaquiles and 2 breakfast tacos (asada, egg, & cheese and brisket, egg and cheese). The asada taco was amazing, and the eggs in both really stood out--not the typical dried out junk we almost always see. The verde sauce was wonderful, and there's a really, really hot sauce that lives up to its name, but is also packed with flavor and not just some ghost pepper gimmick. The chilaquiles also stood out and we'd both get those again with the refried black beans. Ambiance and Atmosphere were both pleasant and plenty of seating outside with dogs allowed to complete the vibe. Service was friendly and the bathroom around back was clean and in order. Lots of parking available on the street. If we lived in San Antonio, this would be our #1 place to get breakfast--and prices didn't break the bank either. 5 stars for sure!

Update: I had the opportunity to come back and try their Mexico chilaquiles and am happy to report that the experience was 10/10. Glad I came back and will definitely be back. The beans were delicious. Pro tip: ask for the sauce on the side if you like your chips on the crunchier side. —- Original review- I’ve been on a real chilaquiles kick, so I was excited to checkout Naco’s wide selection of their take on the traditional dish. For me, the experience was a bit rushed (they were filming for America’s Best Restaurant), so I’ll have to be back to see if the experience I had was the true reality. Overall, the food was pretty flavorful and the salsas were the very good. We added chorizo to our black beans, which I think is a must. I will say that the to-go containers made it a bit challenging to enjoy the dish and the chips became soggy. The interior space is a bit cramped but fit nicely with the “food truck” scene. It’s definitely a great weekend spot to hit up with friends. I’ll definitely be back to try to rest of the menu.

If you’re looking for chilaquiles soup, this is your spot. They drench their chips in inch deep salsa that’s rather flavorless. I got the Divorced chilaquiles, which is supposed to have a green and red salsa, they were identical salsas and every chip except about three on top were soggy. Do not recommend. There’s so many good Mexican spots in SA, this isn’t one of them. The sitting area was cute and food presentation was nice but that’s about it. Will not come back.

I was craving an egg taco at 2 pm…I know, kinda late for egg taco, but this body was craving it. So I called to make sure they still had breakfast and placed my order to go. I get in the car to enjoy my egg, spinach and avocado taco, but when I opened it….i wanted to cry….who in the world serves reheated eggs?! They were crumbly and dry, ugh. They sautees the spinach and just layer it under the eggs and that was that. Never did I think to ask them to make sure they were fresh cooked eggs….but c’mon, really? I know prices have gone down for eggs….but I’m paying you $4 for an egg taco! So...
