As someone who lives maybe 500 feet away, I can rationalize golfing here every so often. It’s a pitch and putt, so you can reasonably bring your putter, wedge and maybe a 9 iron. Holes 10-16 are excruciating repetitive, but the back 9 has been closed for some time now so you might not even have to worry about it. Greens are uneven and lumpy, fairways are dead and full of anthills. The rough is sometimes a foot tall. They have a push mower, so don’t expect Torrey conditions. You’re not going here to improve your game, just have fun and get 9 holes in before dinner.
What I will say is that this course has excellent cats. Casey is the starter cat and loves treats and pets. The human staff is also very friendly.
My suggestion is to play a few holes while waiting for your table at Fiesta de Reyes but don’t go out of your way to play here. They have some clubs to rent if you don’t have any...

It was like something out of a slapstick comedy film. I showed up early Sunday morning, there were quite a few folks on the course. I walked in through the front door and there was no one around, just an older gentleman.
The man behind the counter was alone and he was glued to a computer monitor, didn't even look up, I said good morning and he mumbled something back.
I asked what the fees were and again, without even looking up he told me the prices.
I think this course has...

Out of the hundreds of rounds that I have been fortunate enough to have played across San Diego, I have never witnessed a less accommodating atmosphere. On more then one occasion i have seen the pro shop attendant hang up on a caller, toss money at people and give nothing but one liner comments to kind, inquiring customers. In this down economy, those working in the golf industry must understand the need of TOP customer service. At Presidio Hills, they must not need customers, since they do not value...
