Be Relax — Local services in San Diego

I came to the SPA with my husband intending to get a foot massage, but I was surprised when my service was refused because I’m pregnant. I get massages every week, including foot massages, and I’ve never been denied due to pregnancy. I have medical clearance — in fact, it was medically recommended. There is no law or protocol that prohibits pregnant women from receiving a foot massage. In addition to refusing to serve me, they didn’t offer me any alternative type of massage! The only thing they said I could do was get my nails done — but my nails were already done! What I really wanted was a massage.

Got stuck at the airport since United airlines has horrible customer service. Decided to get a massage since I had time to kill and I really needed it. I stopped in and I was blown away. Shelan gave me an amazing back and foot massage. She was incredibly pleasant and easy to talk. The only drawback was the setting. And even sitting in the middle of a busy and loud airport she was able to totally relax me and help with my ailments. Nathan was super friendly and helpful. Even after my massage was over, they offered for me to spend some time in a massage chair since I had so much time to kill. Got a massage around 4 PM.

Asked how long a wait it would be for a pedicure - was told another nail tech comes in at 5 PM.

Got the alert text message around 5:30 PM saying that it was my turn.

First I was told that I was marked absent as a “no show” Then when I explained to them I was already there they acted like they understood.

I asked if I had time to go eat my pizza that I just ordered and they said yes.

I came back 10 minutes later. I was told the nail tech had already left.

What a joke - maybe it’s the way I look?

Also, the menu says they offer full body massages - but was told that room “was unavailable”. I asked “at this time? or always” The answer...
