I recently had the pleasure of embarking on the Spirit of San Diego cruise, and it was absolutely spectacular! From the moment we boarded, the staff was welcoming and attentive, ensuring that everyone felt comfortable and informed about what to expect on our journey.
The ship itself is beautifully maintained and offers a panoramic view of San Diego’s stunning skyline. The seating was comfortable, and there was ample space to move around and explore different vantage points for picture-perfect views.
The tour was both informative and exciting. The captain provided insightful commentary about the harbor, its history, and the iconic landmarks we passed. There’s something incredibly soothing about being on the water and learning about the rich maritime heritage of San Diego.
The atmosphere on board was delightful, with great music and a delectable selection of snacks and beverages. It was easy to lose track of time while enjoying a refreshing drink on the deck while the city slowly drifted by.
One of the highlights of the tour was spotting sea lions basking in the sun near the docks – a charming sight that delighted all aboard.
Overall, the Spirit of San Diego provides a perfect balance of relaxation and education amidst breathtaking scenery. Whether you're a local or a visitor, it’s a must-do experience that offers a unique perspective of this...
Read moreGoing on the Spirit of San Diego is definitely worth the money, especially if you opt for the 2-hour tour. The trip takes 30 minutes in one direction and 30 minutes back, followed by a stop for 15 minutes to drop off and pick up passengers who booked the 1-hour tour.
The bathrooms are clean, and you have the option to stay inside with air conditioning or outside for the fresh air and views. There’s a store on board selling chips, soda, and hotdogs, but they are pricey. I recommend bringing your own snacks from home or stopping by Walmart or McDonald's beforehand if you want to save money, as a hotdog on board costs around $8.
Additionally, consider bringing a jacket, as it can get chilly even in the summer, and maybe some cards or other distractions to pass the time...
Read moreWe arrived in San Diego the day prior to a cruise and wanted to explore more of the waterfront area. A San Diego Bay Tour by boat seemed like a great way to do just that.
The boat was spacious and not crowded during our tour. A 1 hour tour is available for both the north and south bay but we chose the 2 hour tour to see it all. Being we were there late January, it was chilly, at times cold, but the sun was out and it was a beautiful 2 hours on the bay.
I cannot remember the names of the Captain, crew or our guide but they were all great! We were educated on the military, Coronado Bridge and Island, saw Sea Lions and more!
