I moved in Chateau La Jolla on 3 August this year , 2023. So far everything has been very good, exceeding my expectation.
I first visited The Chateau a year and a half ago and was impressed with the arrangement of the facilities. The marketing director Tammy Atkins was very friendly and cheerfully showing the facility. We were served lunch, and i was well impressed with the food and specially the services by the uniform dining room staff. They attentively taking your order and explain thoroughly what is on the menu. When you do not like what they serve, they patiently provide substitutes. In August this year, my health condition changed, I called Tammy and was told they have some apartment for me. I came take a look, and piked one with ocean view. and signed the contract and paid deposit right there and there. Tammy gave me information on the mover. I moved in and have no regret
My contact with residents have been remarkably very good. People are friendly, and yet not intrusive, sociable and yet not invading your privacy.
When I have family members and friends visiting, parking spaces are reserved for them in the garage, table reserved for them in the dining room. The receptionist, the dining room staff and house keeping staff are very helpful . When my friends want to stay late to play poker with me, Kaity the Managing Director had the Salon remained open late in the night for our use.
There are plenty of activities to participate in during the day. If you like exercises, Claudia is an excellent trainer giving you yoga and flexibility. cardio workout workout every morning . You can sit back and enjoying movie time in the evening. If you want it, there are bible study group and clergy from local church visits.
Once a week Liz the Activity Manager will drive you to museum, galleries, or specialties restaurant in and about town
To sum up , Chateau La Jolla and their staff and residents meet and exceed my ...
Read moreMy husband and I had an exceptional stay at Chateau La Jolla last month. We were in town from Michigan, escaping the winter cold and visiting family who live nearby. We were so pleased to know that this community offers short-term stays as well! Our expectations were completely exceeded from the moment we walked in. We had a wonderful one-bedroom apartment equipped with everything we could have wanted and more. (My husband was particularly enamored with the Keurig and variety of coffee options). The staff and residents who call Chateau home were all so hospitable and kind. We participated in the exercise classes and were very impressed. Each day at Chateau, we walked to the La Jolla village and enjoyed some great local shops, such as Warwick's bookstore -- what a treat! We walked to the beach each evening to watch the sunset and came back to a wonderful dinner at Chateau. We were blown away by the food; it was fresh, flavorful, and prepared tastefully & beautifully. You truly can't beat the location of Chateau. We plan to return year after year, and maybe even as permanent residents one day. Thank you for a truly wonderful stay!! We would highly recommend!!

Read moreâThe third time is the charmâ says the dictionary. Is it? Read on please. Chateau La Jolla is my 3rd resident (i.e. retirement) community. Upon the passing of my beautiful wife Claudette Jane of 60 years, I sold our very lonely house and moved to the closest retirement community. Nice! I lived there for two (2) years until four (4) of my fabulous families wanted me to move closer to their homes. I did, to a very nice retirement community, but after two (2) years there I longed to move again, but this time near the Ocean. (I was a submarine veteran of 25 years). After seven (7) months here at Chateau La Jolla, I can say âYes, the third time is the charm.â I refer friends to Chateauâs very informative website and the reviews of others because so many of their questions are answered there about the Property, Renovation, Apartments, etc. Most of my friendsâ questions to me are in the areas of Fine Dining, Staff Personnel Support/Competence, Rental Increases, etc. I repeat âThe third time...
