You are guaranteed a quality 90 minutes at so many convenient times in a beautifully maintained and clean studio (with the immaculate faux wood floors and cool lavender washcloths after class as everyone highlights), with clean private showers available in the changing room. Some of the teachers go overboard with the heater and humidifier blasting the whole class, but the majority are in tune and reasonable so we can complete all 26 beginning postures in the challenging room without passing out. I played sports my entire life, but now with a career and a daughter, this completely satisfies me as my new workout (for the past three years).
In response to other comments: I'm sure the reviewer who felt "yelled at for sweating" had yoga brain because BLJ instructors are cool and don't yell, esp. not for sweating which is the GOAL. And yoga etiquette is to clean up your own sweat with towels after the class and make sure your rivers of sweat aren't running into your neighbor during class--which I've experienced on these wood floors (and this isn't a reflection on the studio but on a rude individual).
And the ignorant reviewer who said "the Bible was read after class" must have been referring to selections from Eckhart Tolle or Paramahansa Yogananda that the owner, Colleen, sometimes reads (in less than a minute) after her classes for inspiration. She is one (amazing) teacher among many to choose from and this is a rarity during the week, but still very appropriate for yoga...hello?!
Go to more than one class--you'll love it (as long as you're well-hydrated and bring cold water into class with you)! I've been loving this studio for the past year! And some of the most beautiful beaches in California are a block away so you can cool off or meditate...
Read moreOne of the FEW bikram studios you will ever see with a faux wood floor. SO necessary to keep the dirtiness and smell under control!
That aside there are a few things I'm not as crazy about. Parking is a bit stressful...its underground and doesn't feel safe to be there at night. But to be honest I think my biggest gripe with this studio is that I only found one teacher whose flow I really liked. There's one who talks non stop about anything and everything for the whole 90 mins, esh.
Bathrooms are small but more than adequate. People are mostly reserved, and that also includes staff. But its SO clean that I still think its one of the best bikram studios out there. Also the price definitely makes it one of the most affordable hot yoga studios out there, particularly if you can take advantage of the under 25 discount. Really unusual for a studio since most studios only have a student discount.
Also- lavender towels at the end! Perfect way...
Read moreIf you're looking for a yoga studio that offers an amazing workout, look no further than YogaFuzn! I attended both their Vinyasa and Sculpt classes and they were both incredible. The instructors were knowledgeable, kind and made everyone feel welcome regardless of their skill level. The Vinyasa class was the perfect balance of challenging and relaxing, with a flow that left me feeling energized and refreshed. The Sculpt class was a great way to mix things up, with a focus on building strength and toning muscles. I left both classes feeling accomplished and grateful to have found such an amazing studio. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, making it a comfortable space to practice in. Overall, I highly recommend YogaFuzn to anyone looking for an excellent workout and a...
