Golden State Pools — Local services in San Diego

Mr. Darosa and his company, GSP, basically fired us/ quit. They gave me less than one week notice that I needed to find another company to maintain my pool. I don't feel this extremely short notice is a professional way to treat a client. We spoke on Saturday 9/23 and the following Friday 9/29 was the last day of service. The truth is they couldn't figure out how to maintain my pool algae free and still make money. Look at the attached photos, this is my spa 3 days after their last visit servicing my pool and spa. The pool was similar, you just couldn't see it in the photos. Just for reference the last day of service was Friday 9/29. These photos were taken Monday 10/2. They are time stamped. That same day I took a trip to Leslie's Poolmart and spent $400 on pool chemicals.

GSP asked me to replace my pool water (28,000 Gallons) Unfortunately, even after draining and replacing my pool's water 1 and 1/2 times in the last 2 months and still this is the way they left my spa and pool. Yes, I am frustrated, primarily because this is the way my pool was left after using them for a long time and that they gave me only 6 days' notice (1 visit) before they quit.

I have taken over my pool service again myself and it looks great. We can use it again. Maybe I will just keep doing it...

I have owned several pools, and with them have been serviced by multiple pool technicians/companies. Corey with Golden State Pools has been servicing our pool for the past 5 years. He has single-handedly turned the green swamp we inherited into the beautiful sparkling diamond it is today! Corey is extremely efficient in keeping all of the chemicals balanced, filters clean, tiles and plaster brushed; as well as effectively troubleshooting our pool equipment and fixing any issues on the spot. I must also mention the fact that he shows up as scheduled and has never missed a day these past 5 years. One more thing, I have 3 dogs and Corey goes above and beyond ensuring that he locks my gate, keeping my dogs safe and at home. I consider myself quite fortunate to have Corey as my pool technician and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a responsible and beyond knowledgeable...

Golden State Pools provides great customer service! They reply promptly to my questions and are always willing to take the time to respond in a manner that shows they care and want to to provide great customer service. Their pool service (most important part) is also exceptional. They provide quality services at reasonable prices. Over the years we have had great service from their pool technicians.
