TL;DR — Syeda provided great service, but Robbin’s overseas manufacturing caused delays and quality issues. One ring arrived on time, but the other had to be remade and didn’t match my expectations. I ended up ordering from another jeweler, who delivered faster and exactly as requested. In the future, I’ll choose local or U.S.-based jewelers for better reliability. Full review below and I also attached images of the Robbin’s ring (smaller shank) vs the custom ring I got made (met/exceeded expectations).
Pros: Great service, large inventory, customization options. Cons: Delays, quality issues, overseas warranty, final product didn’t match expectations.

Syeda was great—communicative and well-informed about the stock and time frames of the rings offered by Robbin’s—and none of the issues were her fault.
I initially wanted two custom-made rings for my fiancé and me, but Robbin’s quoted a long completion time compared to other jewelers, so I went with designs that were in their stock with small customizations. Despite this, I decided to go with Robbin’s based on friends' experiences, although they had minor issues too.
The plan was for both rings to be 6 mm wide, one channel set with a princess cut and the other half eternity with a radiant cut, to be finished and delivered on the same day. While the channel set ring was delivered on time, the half eternity band faced delays due to quality issues, necessitating a remake with an uncertain delivery date. I opted for a different jeweler who promised the custom ring by 02/19/2025, and it was actually ready and shipped today, 02/17/2025. Syeda from Robbin’s informed me that their remake was approved and shipped to Arkansas while I was away, but when I got the ring in person, it had a 2 mm shank with 9 diamonds totaling 3 cttw, resulting in a feminine look that I didn’t prefer. We paid for it since it was shipped and received, but I likely won’t wear it often when the alternative jeweler’s ring arrives, as it was less expensive and exactly what I wanted.
Overall, while I appreciate the big box shopping experience, Robbin’s reliance on overseas manufacturers leads to delays and uncertainty. I’d even be worried to use their warranty since it might go overseas and be a while before you get your ring back. In the future, I plan to choose local or U.S.-based jewelers, given my better experience with efficiency, digital processes, and...
Read morePlease do not get your engagement ring here. I was proposed to on March 29th and had a prong break that I noticed on June 14th. I had to be without a ring for an event that friends and family were seeing us at for the first time since our engagement. The same prong broke on September 5th and I was able to scrape the second outside prong off with my fingernail causing the diamond to fall out of the setting. I am extremely conscious of my ring and take it off during cleaning, workouts and anything that could potentially damage it. I also work in an office and would not be doing any type of work that could possibly put wear on my ring.
Saying the team at the Mission Valley Robbins Brothers were unsympathetic and uninterested is putting it lightly. I was treated coldly with both incidents and only my fiance received an apology. I was quoted up to 6 to 8 weeks for my repair to send my ring overseas to the original jewelry maker since they could only retip the prongs again at the store and hope that it does not break off like before. Making me without my ring, again, and forcing me to postpone our engagement photoshoot. There was no expediting my situation or any other option given.
With the treatment from the staff, embarrassment from the need of multiple repairs in a short amount of time, lack of trust with the quality of my ring and lack of trust in the capability of the jewelry maker, I went to multiple jewelers for an inspection. Every jeweler said the metal was far too hot during the casting and would just keep breaking with how brittle it was. My ring was a lemon. How it got past a quality check was mind boggling to all of them.
I moved forward with completely redoing my ring and only using the original diamonds. I was also refunded on my Peace of Mind Warranty. I had zero doubts about voiding my warranty with them since there was zero trust that they could give me the quality ring we paid for.
David Levi & Sons was able to completely redo my ring in a week and I finally trust that I have something that will last...
Read moreOver the course of the last 2 months, I have worked with Mo Sablan on two major purchases, during which we met up several times during the decision making, purchase, and customization process. Mo went above and beyond in helping me find exactly what I wanted, even though I came into the store with an idea of what I was looking for. Mo is exceptionally warm, genuine, charismatic, and kind, and if that wasn't enough, her knowledge of diamonds is second to none. She went out of her way to come in twice on her days off to help expedite a special piece that she miraculously got done in less than 5 days, just in time for my birthday. She is prompt and courteous with all her communications and she made the entire process not only easy, but incredibly joyous, which is exactly what jewelry buying should be! Mo is a pleasure to work with and I look forward to my next purchase with her. I will be certain to send my friends and family her way when they are looking for the best in the jewelry shopping experience. She is an asset to Robbins Brothers, both as a representative of this branch and the...
