If I could give this place zero starts I would!
Iām new to San Diego and after reading all of the great reviews I decided to give this place a try. Unfortunately that led to disappointment and unsatisfactory. Honestly the whole appointment was horrible. About 3 minutes into getting my nails done I was already being nicked. The nail tech had to removed multiple nails and reapply them multiple times because she kept putting them on crookedly. At the end of all that unnecessary pain two of my nails were still crooked. The design they did didnāt really match up to what I asked for at all (NAILS OR TOES). The color that the nail tech did for my 3D flower was completely wrong. I assumed she had to air spray it after the fact for it to get the right color but nope there was nothing she could do at that point. The nail extensions were applied wrong to begin with so instead of them looking fresh theyāve been looking like I need a fill in since the first dayš¤¦š½āāļø (which is irritating to say I paid like $110 on the nails alone). As for my toes I asked for a hibiscus flower because I was taking a trip to Hawaii. The flower looked so bad lolš¤¦š½āāļø. The pedicure was horrible she barely scrubbed my foot at all. Itās almost like the work is being done nonchalantly (like none of it is being done with intention). In my personal opinion, they donāt care rather youāre satisfied or not they just care about the money. Itās been a week since Iāve had my nails done and they genuinely look like theyāve been on for at least a month and a half (shaking my head). This was the worse nail salon experience Iāve had in my entire life!! I wouldnāt recommend this place to anyone, not even my worse enemy! The only thing that was done right was my toe nail shaping. I will give her that!
Lastly, what irritated me the most is the fact they were so busy trying to be time efficient that I couldnāt really use the back massage chair at all. The nail tech was already struggling to do my nails before I ever cut the chair on, but once I did you could tell that only made it worse for her. So when she asked me if she could cut the chair off, obviously I said yes because at that point I was simply over everything anyways. However, one of the main reasons I go to the nail salon is for the chair so the fact that I couldnāt use it because they wanted to rush me out of there was kind of irritating. Like itās always good to get your mani & pedi done at the same time (especially if youāre a busy person) but thatās only acceptable when it can be done properly. In my opinion, if your mani and pedi being done simultaneously is interfering with the services youāre paying for it just shouldnāt be doneā¼ļø because no one should have pay for hindered services (or even experience it). To close out, I would just like to say that even after all that dissatisfaction was expressed, not even a 5-10% discount was given (not that I needed or wanted it) but it could have at least been offered by any of the workers. Itās fine though, you wonāt be getting any more of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could not give any stars I would. I work in customer service and I know if something isnāt right, you do everything to correct the issue. Iām not one to complain on here. HOWEVER WHEN YOU TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS LIKE CRAP THATS A DIFFERENT STORY! I got gel with matte on my manicure and pedicure, plus the pumpkin special for the fall. The gel and matte solution that they use DOES NOT WORK. It kept bubbling up on my nails so the manicure technician and the pedicure technician had to keep taking it off, grinding down the gel and starting over. They did this three times until finally I was in so much pain. I told him no I now feel like my nail is gone in certain areas on two of my fingers and two of my big toes. I brought this up to the girl at the register and I showed her and she took $30 off for the charge of gel. I told them that I was also having allergic reaction and I had red bumps all over my legs and showed them and they said oh thatās just your skin! and then I said, no, thatās not JUST my skin. The guy looks at it that I guess is a manger and said, of probably bc you just shaved, and then I said, NO I Didnāt just shave, look at my hair, I know better than to shave and come bc itās not good for your pores! Iāve never ever heard so many bs excuses. I get home, and itās worse, the nail polish isnāt even all the way down my nail on my pinky or most of them. It looks like itās a week old already. The tech goes on to tell me that the matte isnāt good anyway bc it only last TWO WEEKS! WTH! I just paid $305 for me and my wife minus tips and the whopping $30 off for the gel. I called the manager and explained everything to him and said, PLEASE let me send you pictures of this, it looks awful and tell me if I should be paying anything for this! He said we already gave you $30 off. We donāt do refunds, we can give you a credit. I said, my nails arenāt even in shape to come back and get this fixed theyāve been grinded so THIN, for the three attempts to make it right! He refused and told me they donāt do refunds. So I called him out and said thats not right and no customer should have to deal with this. So, Iāll call the health dept, and post on here and every other social media platform so people are AWARE of this. Itās not right. Not right at all.
I forgot to mention the part where the part that the girl knocked my OJ all over me in the beginning and then stained my shorts with the foot scrub. Iām literally in disbelief of this experience and the lack of customer care. We will never support this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI never complain and am usually very easy going, but I woke up to chipped nail polish and I did not have a great experience in the salon solely because of the young lady who did my manicure so this has lead me to actually write a review. The young lady Thao who did my pedicure was very kind and professional...she did a great job yet for whatever reason a chunk of my gel polish came off and I have not done anything over the past week to have caused it...so I assuming it is the product (poor quality polish). However, my manicure was completed by a young lady Jasmine who first approached me in a unprofessional way by saying "Hello girl" (i am almost 40 years old) the tone behind her voice seemed annoyed. After I told her my polish selection she quickly dismissed it and stated in a condescending way "you can forget about that...that will not work on your nails length". I should have just said forget about it because her energy was too aggressive, but I still went through with the manicure because of time limitation to go to another store. I finally chose a color after the first three I chose were all not available. She persuaded me to get powder because it would strengthen my nails, but I told her I did not want it to look too bulky. She then put minimal powder which is fine but then drilled away some areas unevenly so that the color became transparent and then told me that the dip powder color is a "thin color". I have gotten dip before and that did not make much sense. She also had a long conversation and in some cases was talking about me to her co workers...she also put the wrong color on my nails so I have a different color on my nails from my toes. When I realized it I still wasn't even that mad even though she denied her mistake initially. When she finally realized she made a mistake her arrogance quickly resolved and she must of thought I would write a review so she kept stressing we want to make you happy and "customer service". At that point I already checked out mentally to prevent myself from getting upset and blamed myself because I knew I should not have stayed. Despite all of that I still gave the manicurist a tip because I understand how she is paid and she at least tried to fix my nail by adding a layer of gel nail polish to even out the color, but the whole experience was not worth the 150 I paid. And I am quite disappointed because the reviews lead me to believe that I would have...
