Negihama Sushi Bar & Grill — Restaurant in San Diego

I had the worst experience ordering from this restaurant today… we placed a large order for an office (18 people). The person who took my order over the phone seemed to know what he was doing, but he didn’t read my order back to me. I gave him names and items for each person. He told me it would be 35 minutes. We showed up about 40 minutes later, and it still wasn’t ready, they had us wait another 15-20 minutes. When we get to the office and check the food, nothing was labeled (in the past everything would be in different bags by name) once we figured out all the food, we realized we had a few things missing (beef teriyaki bowl/sea weed salad/ spicy tuna hand roll/ and bean sprouts). I called the restaurant and a very nice girl (didn’t catch her name) answered and tried to help me as best as she could, but the MANAGER is a different story. I could hear him in the background being rude saying well she wasn’t charged for that (beef teriyaki and spicy tuna hand roll), I told her I was still going to have to go out of my way to drive back to get the stuff that was charged and we were missing. As I get to the restaurant, I ask to speak to the manager and I express my frustration about this, since this was a waste of time and money by having me go back. I told him we placed a very large order and I didn’t think it was fair that I wasn’t getting reimbursed at all for their mistakes (he said he wasn’t going to charge me for the spicy tuna hand roll or the beef teriyaki bowl they didn’t originally charge). The manager never apologized for my troubles, one of the cooks I believe came up and offered me $20 in cash, and I said I wanted partial reimbursement via the company credit card we had used but nobody there (including the manager) knew how to refund on their POS system. To be honest this was the worst service I have ever received. I will never order...

Wow!! They have the BEST happy hour! See picture attached! I had the garlic edamame, from the nigiri option I had salmon and crunchy roll from the happy hour menu. I decided to try their house salad, it was bigger than expected. The house dressing has ginger and it was fresh and delicious. Nice and light option to start off with. The nigiri salmon was delicious and fresh great portion as well for $6.50! Wow!

I added the lemon & cilantro roll and OMG it was my favorite out of everything!! I highly recommend it.

The staff was attentive and friendly! Thank you Monse for your recommendations. Rubén the manager at the time also came to check up on me, I greatly appreciate the attention and ensuring I was having a good experience.

I also learned that they Monday night all you can eat sushi for $39.95! Call and Double check in case there are changes. I’ll post menu options.

To be honest, my experience was very poor and the servers didn't really go round. Checking on people, they are too busy talking amongst each other. Next to the kitchen and the chef that was on. I'm duty was very unpolite and was sitting with the rest of the people having a alcoholic beverage instead of keeping an Eye on the food in the back and the food I had was not that appetizing and was kind of Not satisfying And then the servers didn't notice that they gave me a Correct shock last with a sharp edge on one side. And when I tried to get their attention. They were unresponsive because they were too busy talking. And at the same ti'm only after. I walked up to let them know that they actually give me a apology. For the mistake, and even then, they're just kind of sad, whatever and kind of tried their best, but they were still lacking in good...
