I’ve been living in the US for a few years now, but as an Italian, I have incredibly high standards when it comes to food and the cleanliness of the places where it’s served.
And I have to say, Hamitbach has impressed me in every possible way! The food quality is outstanding, the atmosphere is warm and lively, the staff is not only friendly but also knowledgeable, and the cleanliness is top-notch—all at very reasonable prices.
The vegetables are a true highlight: they’re not drenched in pools of oil or mysterious sauces, but presented with care in a fresh Mediterranean style, all displayed behind a crystal-clear glass that’s so spotless you won’t find a single fingerprint or smudge.
A major plus: the restaurant is so clean that you can enjoy your meal without worrying about walking out smelling like garlic or onions—something I’ve found all too common in many restaurants!
I’ve been twice already, after a recommendation from someone else who was just as impressed. Now, every time I’m in the area, I make...

The post-ordering process is pretty hectic, and it doesn't help when there's a ton of people inside milling around and pushing tables together. Some people stay in front of the glass, getting their orders faster despite pointing to every customization and requesting things.

It's called "minute steak" so I understand it's cooked quickly, but I would hope that it's still cooked consistently. Our take out orders had a few mistakes, and lafas and pitas get super soggy so I think they are best as a sit down.
I agree with the other reviews that the pricing is definitely too high, especially as "street food" and...
Read moreWhile a bit on the pricey side, this deli will absolutely blow your mind. I went into it without much in the way of expectations and came away with a whole new appreciation for a variety of sandwich ingredients I'd never really considered before.
I tend to be pretty boring when it comes to my sandwiches -- the meat, along with some lettuce, onions, and maybe pickles if I'm feeling adventurous -- but this time I resolved to say yes to pretty much anything I was offered. So, my ribeye sandwich on baguette ended up with hummus, garlic, purple cabbage with mayo, red onions, and pickles piled on top.
And it was absolutely fantastic.
I highly recommend Hamitbach to anybody with a hankering for a sublime sandwich experience. Keep some napkins to hand, though, because these sandwiches come piled high and they...
