These guys are awesome!
We did a 2 day charter with all levels of experience that included people who have never been deep sea fishing up to fisherman who've been fishing for decades. Ages 15 years - 71 years. This crew checked all the boxes and made everyone happy! Captain James, Dan & PK are professional, attentive, knowledgeable and are nonstop! We hit limits for all fish. We had complete confidence in them. You can tell they're well connected to the fishing community and stay on top of where to go to find the fish. The boat is super clean, well maintained, food was excellent and the crew feels like family. They are able to keep it light and fun but watch over to make sure everyone is getting a chance to have an incredible fishing experience. They were patient with all the "newbies" and were there to assist before we could even call out for help. They know what they're doing and are great teachers! I could go on forever about how much fun we had with these guys. If you're considering a Charter you have to book these guys! I can't...
Read moreJust got back from an overnight trip with Capt James and can't say enough good things about this operation. First off, the Sauerfish is a CLEAN boat, all top notch safety equipment, every amenity you could ask for, keurig, feather pillows on the bunks, lots of bait capacity, huge back deck, etc. Secondly, James and crew are extremely professional, and will work nonstop to make sure you have the best trip possible.
This trip I did was with 5 of my co-workers, who all ranged in fishing experience. James and crew made sure everyone was comfortable with the gear and provided assistance when needed based on experience level to make sure everyone had a good time.
This trip we were on 50# class bluefin from sunup to sundown, but despite them being SUPER picky, boated 7 fish via 20# test and hour long battles. Days like this where the fishing is tough is when this crew really stands out from the rest. Co-workers and I are super stoked, and will be booking another...
Read moreCaptain James has been a fisherman since he was 11: creeks, rivers, lakes and for over a decade, the Pacific coast. An ongoing observer of marine life, he watches the weather, the birds, the currents and the kelp beds he knows what's biting and where to find them. Mexico is only 20 miles south, so be sure to get your Mexican fishing license too, ( easy online) as he often explores the islands off Baja. On the Sauerfish, he's right there to help for the beginner fisherman and happy to cheer on the seasoned angler. A freezer on the boat means freshly caught fish go there within minutes. From his galley, James will serve up freshly caught sashimi with wasabi soy. The boat is comfortable, with scenic views of the coast from the dining area, large back deck, comfy bunk beds, a real bathroom. Crew is experienced and you can tell they love their job. A fun adventure for a family or a six- pack of...
