Had one of the worst experiences I went in and ordered my food I was told 30-35 mins after my time had passed the host told me it'll be longer or she can refund me I told her I seen multiple people come in long after me and the already have there food she told me they are a priority as if I wasn't a paying customer so I got upset and asked for a manager and just told her I just want my food the manager came and just said it'll be ready in 10 minutes that's all and walked away then the manager JAMIE! walked back towards the host and told her "He could just go somewhere else" I confronted her and she denied it and told me she said something else then later she admitted she said something along those lines I asked her if there was anyone else above her that I can get in contact with she said no that it stops with her I told her that's sad if she is were it ends then there's no hope for good service at sushi lounge that's no way to behave as a manager you are supposed to lead by example not down talk your customers to other employees after our conversation she went back and started telling other employees about the situation and laughing, it made me feel humiliated and disrespected it wasn't till after my complaint when they started making my food it took me an hour if not more to get three sushi rolls and it took the other customer sitting down 10 minutes to get there food out I come here often with friends and family this has never happened to me but never again I will tell friends and family and everyone I know how rotten sushi lounge "JAMIE" management is this is not ok what ever happen to good...
Read moreWe've been customers of Sushi Lounge for years, but, unfortunately, due to the interaction I just had with two employees (waitress and manager), we won't be customers any longer.
For a while now, they have been including chopsticks and single use condiments with their pickup orders, without asking if they were needed. I finally mentioned it to the waitress and then, after getting a fairly rude and unhelpful answer that was really just a brush off, approached the "manager" and got an even worse response. Instead of admitting that they are knowingly or unknowingly breaking the law (see below), he told me that chopsticks aren't plastic and implied that they weren't doing anything wrong.
So, instead of simply thanking me for bringing it to their attention, they decided that their pride in breaking a law that is designed to reduce waste (and potentially lower the restaurant's costs) was more important than retaining a long time customer and promoter of their establishment.
Hope they feel good about their decision.
One more thing, the service has actually gotten pretty bad lately. The estimates for pickups are usually way off and even table service has been slower.
California's Assembly Bill 1276 (AB 1276), the Single-Use Foodware Accessories and Condiments Law, went into effect in January 2022. The law aims to reduce waste from retail food facilities by requiring customers to request single-use condiments and foodware accessories instead of being automatically...
Read moreAfter I ate here, I wished I just stayed home and ate instant ramen. Perhaps my standards for sushi is higher than it should be for this location, but I prepared for some disappointment after I sat down and the floors were sticky, tables were sticky. We ordered 2 hand rolls, some nigiri, the chef choice sashimi plate and the shrimp/veggie tempura. The tempura was fine. The sushi was disappointing. The sashimi cuts were way too thick to taste good. The salmon sushi was WARM and now I'm just hoping I didn't get food poisoning. I would say the food gets a 2/5. Not the worst place we have had but definitely bottom 3. I felt nauseated after I finished eating here. The prices weren't that great either, pretty standard for good sushi but their food does not meet the expectation of what they charge. We spent $70 before tip. Service was okay. They didn't ever come to refill our waters even though my cup was empty. They just came to get our plates and give us our check and that was it. It wasn't even that busy, we had no wait to sit. The only plus is that there's outdoor seating if you wanted to come with a pet, and there's an ice cream place next door. I would 1000% never come back. So much regret...
