The initial hotel I had booked completely screwed me over. So I was walking around after dark with a suitcase desperate to find an affordable place to stay for the night. My mistake was not reading some reviews before coming here and booking. Walked in and immediate first impression was “this ain’t half bad”. The old saying is you get what you pay for. But I paid $84 plus taxes and “fees”. With the fees it came to slightly over $100. Plus another $100 deposit. I’ve been in this room for 1 hour and I’ve found: a window that isn’t completely covered, so anyone could walk up and look in. The kitchen counter looks to be permanently stained as well as damaged. A/C has been on since I walked in and it’s got this musty sweet smell that’s honestly nauseating. Toilet has very clearly not been cleaned. Shower had hair on the floor. Cockroach dead on the bathroom floor. Hair and a couple stains on the bed and pillows. The ‘modern touches’ have very cheaply been installed and it clearly shows. I could really keep going on. Pros: Not many….hot water for the shower worked. Fridge and microwave. Decently placed location. Cons: Everything was dirty. (Yes I mean everything) Cockroach’s Certain things broken. One window couldn’t be completely covered so it wasn’t completely secure. My suggestion is, if you have no other choice but book this place, bring Lysol, bring shower shoes, bring slippers or flip flops to walk around in, bring PJ’s that you don’t care about immediately putting into your laundry bag, bring something to cover up a window that exposes the interior, and to buffer the outside noises, put the AC/ heat unit on (even if it’s just the fan) to high. It’ll drown out the outside noise almost entirely.
UPDATE: 9 months later and I still have not received the “security deposit” back from this “hotel”. Don’t waste your time, risk your money, or moreover, risk...
Read moreThe cleaning could be approved by 90%. cleaning staff didnt come in to clean untill I went to the hotel office and asked them to have someone clean my room and change the sheets. Hotel policy states the rooms should be clean every day and it wasn't. the overhead light above the bed had a shortage in the wiring which was a fire hazardous , the lights would Flicker make noise and eventually go out. I talked to the Hotel manager (DONALD) about this issue he informed me maintenance will be out to fix that problem the next day, no one ever came out. The security light above the hotel room door was out. The hotel room was on the dark side of the hotel, if it wasn't for the hotel next door we wouldn't have any light to see when we go to our room at night. Talked to the Hotel receptionist ( heavyset Hispanic man)about the darkness and how unsafe that was, I asked if we can change our room to one of the empty available rooms in the front, he says to me : "the amount you paying for that room is very cheap, our rooms are worth more than what you're paying, but I'll see what I can do." I thought that was rude and unprofessional. This young man did move us to a much smaller room that only had a bed and bathroom with a stand up shower but I paid for a room with a kitchenette so I took my chances on going back to the dark side. In that dark room 108, one eye on the stovetop worked, the sink in the kitchen was clogged up, the parking was limited, had to park my car in front of the dumpster or in the handicap spot and hope to not get a ticket or get my car towed. There were about 15 parking spaces for maybe 20 hotel rooms. The best thing about this hotel was the hot water, location and one of their BEST, RESPECTFUL, PLEASANT, KIND and PROFESSIONAL receptionist, Rosemary. Thank you Rosemary for your smile...
Read moreTHEY DONT REPLY FOR A REASON - THEY DONT CARE. I booked a stay from Feb 1, 2025 - Feb 4, 2025. I booked it last minute as we were in town for a family emergency. Checked in at 11:30pm - we’ll start there. The manager charged me for parking even though there was no spots so he told me park behind his car blocking him in as a makeshift spot and said he'll let us know when to move it out of the way. Went to the room it was FILTHY. There was a gum wrapper on the floor, hair in the bed, a burn hole on the sheets, everything was dusty and it didn't smell clean at all. There were BROKEN blinds in the room and bathroom where if someone walked by and wanted to look in they could (only curtains on two of the windows) it's already a stressful situation I was still willing to push past because how late it was. I turn on the shower and it INSTANTLY starts backing up and filling up the tub. I go to the office SAM THE MANAGER said he can't switch rooms there's nothing else available but offered extra towels !? (Wtf did he expect me to do with them) THEN I ask if I could just pay for the night and change my check out to the morning canceling the rest of my stay. HE SAID IT WAS TOO LATE TO CANCEL I COULD HAVE DONE IT 48 HOURS BEFORE THE BOOKING (how did I know I was going to have so many issues and I booked the reservation THAT NIGHT). Greedy cheap and selfish refused to cancel my upcoming days or issue a refund for the upcoming days. We left the hotel that night and paid for 4 days that we won't be there. Sam is the worst property manager and blamed it on "the manager" until I realized he was the manager because he mentioned it earlier and he snickered finding it funny and said yeah he manages...
