Club Marina — Restaurant in San Diego

Selection of quality spirits is great and service is usually great; however, my usual bar tender is no longer working Friday night, so I was less than impressed with the replacements. The service was slow. The bar tender took several minutes to acknowledge my presence, she took my order for a basic cocktail, a few minutes later, the order was passed to a different bar tender. When I finally got my drink, it was alright, but something was off or missing. I finished my drink and sat for 15+ minutes without being acknowledged, so I didn't order any additional drinks. I settled my tab and went to another bar a couple blocks away where the service and drinks were much better.

Perhaps, they changed the bartender in order to attract more (straight) male customers. Regardless of how aesthetically pleasing the staff is, if the service and drinks are not good, I'm going...

My wife and I came in from Phoenix Arizona on 06/26/17. On 06/27/17 we patronized the Club Marina after visiting a half-dozen other bars and restaurants in the area. Let me tell you, on this trip to San Diego from Phoenix, the Club Marina will stand out as the highlight. Danielle was a bartender extroidanair. Not only was she awesome at her job, she made these two hardcore Phoenicians feel welcomed in the city of San Diego. Before this my wife and I were downtrodden because we had not experienced this level of courtesy at all the other San Diego establishments we had previously patronized. On top of all that the prices were phenomenal. I will tell all of my fellow Phoenicians that if they visit San Diego (which all do especially in the summer) they must stop by Club Marina on Scott St. by the harbor. The weekends are a whole vibe! The crew at night are extremely awesome and really go out of their way to make sure everyone has the best time! It’s always a great mix of guys to girls and I’ve seen the stuff always make sure everyone feels safe and welcomed… not bad that I have the same name as the big bearded guy there too haha If you could give 10 stars this places is worth it , Reagan Charli Patrick and Ryan are amazing!
