The food is pretty good. Courteous staff. Would have been a solid "4", if not for their shadey upcharge attempts. If you stay at the Hyatt, they are supposed to give you a 25% discount. They just need to know you are staying there. 3 meals. Evertime I said i was a guest, gave my name, room #- & showed my room key. Every time they acknowledged that. Everytime i got my bill the discount was missing and I had to point it out. Everytime they acted as though they got "caught". Same with my Sister in Laws meals. There is an obvious culture of "lets see if we can get away with not giving the discount. " Probably a management directive as this was with different staff members on different days. So....good food, but check your ticket. For the management that will undoubtedly read this "bad" review- stop being shadey. You dont want to give a discount? Stop...

It's fine for what it is, but it's a bit overpriced imo. I had the chicken which had a fantastically crispy skin but it wasn't anything to write home about. They advertise the burger as wagyu but I'm dubious based on reviews, plus my partner got the short rib bolognese and said it just seemed like ground beef essentially. Breakfast buffet is like $30 per person assuming you're staying at the Hyatt and show them the discount card, otherwise it's $40 per person. We didn't try that since we could walk up the street and get 2 sandwiches + 2 specialty coffees for $30 total.

If you were feeling super lazy and didn't want to leave the hotel for whatever reason I think this would be fine for room service food though. We just didn't really get enough out of it to go back more than the first night...

Excellent service and good drinks. One of the best long islands I've had in a long time.

Inside the crowd is fun and the bartenders and staff and friendly and talkative.

However the general poor condition of the streets in the Union Square area is a concern.

The street outside is filthy and you may likely be confronted by beggars or otherwise smell urine and human waste. The beggars may insult you and your family if you do not give.

Stay safe, suggest to not walk around too much, especially in the evening.

Towards midnight a group of youths intentionally bumped into us and threatened to fight. We had to walk away hoping not to be harassed more or worse, we were well...

If cafeteria-style food is your thing, this might be your spot—but honestly, it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. I couldn’t help but laugh while eating—it was that bad. I ordered what was supposed to be a Wagyu burger, but it was unbelievably dry and flavorless—worse than something from a fast food drive-thru. Definitely not worth the price or the hype. Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere if you’re looking for a decent meal. That said, the bar might be worth a visit just for drinks—just don’t come hungry.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place! Reviews/ratings don’t really do it justice. True it’s truly a hotel bar that is ideal for when you are here for work, don’t want to go out in the June gloom cold, etc. flatbread was simple but hit the spot, service was top knotch, friendly, professional and fast. Good music and after work crowd. Would I go here for a 5-star vacation like experience? Probably not. Was it a perfect post work respite? Yes.
