California Salon — Local services in San Francisco

I’ve been coming here for the past 3 months or so. My first time going was a random walk in and they let me get a manicure and pedicure. I always get the gel polish. I’ve been going every 2-3 weeks to get a mani and pedi to maintain my nails health. The staff is amazing, knowledgeable in what they do. Always have great conversations. It’s very relaxing in there. Best advice is to make an appointment, since I get gel mani and pedi it takes a lot of time. Wendy is straight up and honest and always wants to do a great job on your nails and want to make sure you have a nice and relaxing experience. I highly recommend California Salon. Customers beware: they are not "walk-in" friendly - I went at 10am right after they opened and was told they couldn't take my friend and I until 2:30pm. They had 4 employees in the salon at the time, but only 1 of the employees knew how to do a gel manicure. Not sure how that's sustainable, but nonetheless...

I’ve been coming here on a ‘drop-in’ basis for years. (I’m not good at pre-planning.) The ladies are always welcoming and sweet, I rarely have to wait more than 10 minutes. Great gel manicure, lasts and lasts. Fast, thorough waxing, too! And reasonable prices....
