My son (11 yrs.old) absolutely LOVES this place!!! ☺ He often goes to play basketball in the gym with friends on Saturdays. Note: IT IS VERY MUCH OPEN ON SATURDAYS!! For the most part it's free of charge, although I believe swimming may cost a buck or two, which is an extremely small price to pay at a place that offers a giant indoor waterslide!! ( amazing!) I believe the woman I met our first day (several years ago) named RENÉE is actually the program manager. She was very nice, informational and attentive, I felt completely welcomed. At the time, my son was 8 or 9 and was a little shy initiating himself to shoot hoops in their enormous gym, since that portion of the program is more of and for teens. With a little encouragement from Ms.Renée and myself, he shot a few hoops and was quickly joined by others,it was such a warm experience. My son is now 11 and continues to attend...
Read moreThe Hamilton rec center is a fantastic facility that has most of what one would expect and then some. The full size indoor basketball court is particularly impressive. It's been drawn up from high-schools to pro, so you can practice your Steph curry shot with confidence. :) There are even roll out ping-pong tables. The multi-purpose room are great for kids parties or other get togethers. The playground is better than expected if you have kids. I also like how the playground has only two ingress/egress points on a straight path so you can easy monitor the little ones if they decide to go on a solo neighborhood exploration. Outdoor facilities are also good with basketball and tennis courts and a large green field where you can play soccer or other such sports. The library branch right next to the fields completes...
Read morePool itself is wonderful and the slides are so much fun. Just think the hours for recreation swim are too limited and the rules are way too strict. My son is a great swimmer but he still can't go on the slides even if he passes the swim test, which is itself way harder than it needs to be, because he is under the height limit. For a slide that lets out in the shallow end! Parents can't be in the water with more than one child at a time, even if the kids are wearing floaties. A child under the height limit for the deep end can't even be in the shallow end without a parent in the water. I'm happy there's a focus on safety but this is too much, especially given there were SO MANY life...
