I liked it. Have also been to Archimedes Banya and I can say the general experience is very similar: people naked, hot tub, cold plunge, steam and sauna. Banya is more complete of course. I feel these people could do much better if they better explained what goes on inside. You come in, dress down, take towels and slippers and head into the baths. That’s a large room with the tubs, some showers and the doors to both steam room and sauna.

I should try to keep this place a secret, but it already seems the word is out...Mr Choi’s scrub is an exercise in masochism- yoga breathing helps- sometimes mr C has had too much Kim chi (sp?)

You won't find a better way to stretch out and relax your muscles. Just walk in its perfect. The cold pool is incredible and so is the sauna. Perfectly maintained.

So it appears the Spa has issues with "stolen" items. I am coming here for some time and two weeks ago I left my cosmetic bag with manicure and pedicure expensive stuff worth $200. I called the same day and they said to call back next day. Next time I called - lady asked me many questions like what is the color of the bag and what is inside - based on my description - my cosmetic bag was found and I was super happy! Well, when I came to Spa the whole thing went down: 1. Lady who talked to me over the phone could not find it, 2. Lady next to her suggested to check with cleaning lady, 3. I finished my visit and asked if they founded - they said they called 5 people and they believe my cosmetic bag was disposed. 4. I got upset and asked how come after they confirmed with me they found my property now they don't have it and I informed them I will request reimbursement for the items they managed to lose. 5. I gave them a week to see if they found it, I called and... I was told that my bag was NEVER found, that the lady who told me she found my bag was wrong about it because it was not my bag after all (hm, the lady I talked over the phone asked me very specific questions like what is inside, color etc and only based on my answers she told me they have my bag) and that this is all my fault.. and she hang up; 6. I called again and asked for her name but she did not give me the name and hang up. Yes, I am very upset and will need to spend money on lost items which I am learning now is more than $200. Just be aware. I still have a few passes left but I am considering switching to Kabuki. Much cleaner, nicer ambiance and higher customer service. I really don't need to deal with the rude employee like the lady who apparently is their MANAGER... which raises my...

Ocean Seaweed Scrub - First let me say I absolutely LOVED this treatment!

Second please read the entire review.

I was a bit hesitant to book a treatment here after reading several of the reviews so I came onsite the day before to book this treatment. The facility is older but extremely clean and has all the amenities you would expect to find at a bathhouse/spa. I think the disconnect for some is the differences between a bathhouse vs spa. This is a true proper bathhouse.

This treatment came with a full body scrub, massage, facial, hair wash, etc. You are expected to be fully nude (No Swimsuits) as in a proper for bathhouses.

The lady doing my treatment was perfect however this isn’t a spa. She asked several times if I was ok but checking in on pressure or asking if water temperature was not asked nor expected. All this to say if something makes you uncomfortable or if you need something adjusted you need to be vocal enough to speak up.

There is also the culture and language barrier which I think some have considered to be rude. It is not in-fact they are very pleasant but not a lot of pleasantries.

Be sure to bring cash for tipping your person if you receive a treatment. They do allow you to use facilities for 3hrs with a treatment but that also includes your treatment time.

This is a proper Korean Bathhouse. Again I loved it but I like less pleasantries and more treatments. I enjoy deep tissue type treatments with organic natural products.

Finally the location is on a busy street across from a lovely park. Coming from downtown does require you to go through the most unsafe areas of San Francisco so I would highly recommend taking a car. I mention this because I do like walking in the city to take in the sites this is not the...

First walking in was pleasant. The lady at the front was nice. I went in with my friend she greeted us and than we paid to use the facility it's about $40 per person. There is a lady and gentleman side that are separate. They take cash and credit which was convenient. The facility for the gentleman side was decent. When walking in the men spa you'll see slippers on shelves to put on. Lockers are locked with a digital lock pad which is connected to your wrist band. ( That I love) also there are a few couches you can sit to relax a bit and restroom that were clean, and the vanity area was open and wide I believe at least 4-5 people can fit in the area. The facility in the main room was small but good. To the right side you have the standing showers and left you have the sitting down station to rinse yourself off. Than to the main attraction. They have 1 Jacuzzi and 1 cold pludge, a steam room and sauna which can probably fit at least 4-5 people each time. Their is also a exfoliate table service to can purchase before you enter the spa. I'm not sure about the price. There is about 2 bench where you can sit and cool off is you get to warm. Everyone is a bit quiet and keep to themselves. Though I wish people in there were a bit talkative cause I enjoy talking sometimes and when it gets to quiet get a bit weird cause sometimes just being quiet and looking at the wall makes me feel a bit awkward. Al in all great experience wish they had a membership program that is affordable cause I would like to enjoy it more if it were in my budget . Hope this helps for first timers...
