I've eaten at this place several times especially because it's near UCSF Mt. Zion where I used to get my radiation and St. Dominic's Church. Food is very good that's why I keep on coming back. However last June 1, my infusion at UCSF Mission Bay ended past 2 pm and there weren't a lot of restaurants open, so I just decided to go home. The Uber driver drove near St. Dominic's church so I changed my mind and went to Church and go to Sweet Lime at 430 for my very, very late.brunch. I walk from the Church to Sweet Lime, hungry and exhausted from the infusion, only to find out they open at 5 which is different from what was indicated on Google maps. I requested if I could just go inside so I could sit and rest as I was in pain. The only female, English-speaking server came out and said they're closed and they open at 5. I explained to her that I just needed to sit because I was feeling very tired and in pain. I even told her I will not be ordering, to which she replied that she is still on her break. I just wish that she could have been more compassionate. I couldn't believe that this was the same server who was so pleasant every time I eat there ( I always order for dine in and take out)....
Read moreMy friends and I have had the pleasure to eat at this Thai restaurant on several occasions. Thai owned and operated with Thai cooks in the kitchen, you cannot get more authentic Thai food anywhere in the city. They only use fresh ingredients and offer a vegetarian and gluten free menu. The food is pretty to look at and tastes as good as it looks. We started with fresh spring rolls, tasty and a beautiful presentation. These crispy Thai spring rolls are quite different in that they are thin as your pinky and they were a big hit with the youngsters at the table. The calamari came out Thai style a bit of sweet and spicy sauce and it was quite tender. One friend stated it was the best calamari he had ever tasted. The Miang Kham (7 favorite ingredients) is a do it yourself dish where fresh lettuce leaves are used to hold the tray of ingredients that you choose yourself. The Tamarind sauce accompanying the dish was superb. We also tried pad Thai and pad ma-khua which were winners. Try the fresh limeade, homemade not something you usually get to order. Our dessert was fried banana with Carmel sauce and a scoop of vanilla bean gelato. Quite yummy. A return visit is...
Read moreI visited this ‘around the corner’ thai restaurant recently for dinner and it was a good experience. It is located just off Fillmore and it was a already past 7:30, but it was not too hard to find parking. Was abke to find a spot just a block away. The ambience was refreshing with fresh and light colors, and has a modern vibe about it. It was very clean and the tables was already set and ready for guests. We were walkins and it was not too busy either. The hosts were very prompt and had masks on :) 👍 👍 i like that very much. The host/server took order quickly with any fuss and the food was out shortly too. I ordered chicken pad thai and thai ice tea. The tea had good flavor and tasted very fresh too 👍 The chicken pad thai was well made and tasted great too, and I was not rushed by the servers to finish up and pay. The best feature of this place was everything went very smoothly and there was nothing to complain about. Price is about right as well :) highly recommend this place for a no fuss casual...
